Om Amriteswaryai Namaha,

Bala and all, I don't think anyone is attempting to

correct your love for Amma, as the title of the thread

implies. I am also not trying to correct your anger,

or anyone else's feelings. In fact, in my earlier post

I acknowledged and supported the diverse emotions and

views that are coming forth from everyone. And I also

shared that I am quite angry too, although this

morning there is less anger.

Please allow me to elaborate. This whole leela has

many facets, and the whole thing shifts as you change

your focus.

The most important side, for me, as Amma's devotee, is

to take Her teaching to heart. She has implored us to

forgive and forget, so I'm working on that. Not that

the anger, the shock, the fear isn't there, and I

won't try to suppress that, but I'm working towards

forgiveness, because it is the wish of my Guru. That's

the bhakti in it for me.

The jnana side of this, again this is MY perspective

only, not a suggestion to anyone, is that we are

getting worked up over a dream. Amma is NOT the body.

If She were to drop the body today She would most

certainly not leave us! Our fears are based on our

attachment to Her form, which, obviously, She Herself

has no attachment to. If we can take Her teaching

"Creator and creation are one and the same" to heart,

we can see that there is no such thing as a victim.

This is a play of consciousness, an appearence in

consciousness, and "just" or "unjust" is a matter of

perception.

Now I say that with no authority whatsoever because I

am definately NOT established in that truth, and here

I am reacting away with my own anger, fear,

attachment, worry, etc. But I'm trying to accept that

it is the dharma of the authorities to deal with that

man and whoever aided him, and it is my dharma to

forgive and forget, because my anger is only feuling

the fire.

Friends, I am grieving too. I don't understand why

someone would want to harm Amma, or any other "great

ambassador of love" as I said in my previous post. I

can only believe that it is due to their ignorance and

lack of understanding. They are rendered blind by the

darkness of their own delusions. This too, is as it

should be. There is a divine order at work. It's not

good or bad. These concepts exist only in the

differentiating mind.

fumbling towards forgiving,

Prajna
