This incident is extraordinarily disturbing for me personally. I am certain many of us are ready to go back to our old Varanasi for comfort. Amma may be testing us. Can we stay calm at a time like this? Dixie is in critical care. The Beloved was assaulted What do we do? Stay calm and ostensibly shrug the entire incident off.. Who said spiritual life is easy. Trying to be calm with Grit Teeth Dear GeorgeSon ~ I might have already replied to this; I'm not sure. My thinking is clouded at the moment. I failed a personal test to stay calm in an interpersonal tsunami with my partner last night, and I am so glad to be reading what everyone has to say, and especially the quotes from Amma about what She wants us to do. Staying calm, yes, I believe Amma has asked us to do that. Shrugging what happened off ~ I'm not sure any of us are able to do that, because that implies not caring, and if one thing is clear it is that we all care so very much. We are everywhere ... not just Amma's devotees, but all of us here in this group. We can extend our hands out to one another (in our mind's eye) and receive strength from each other. Amma's Light and Love fills the circle we have made with our hands, and flows into each of us. She is ever the Center, the Pillar of our strength, our All in All as Big Swami would say. Since I am once again, far behind on the digest (I really don't know how you all do it), I am hoping your teeth have relaxed abit by now.
