Guest guest
dear sister Linda ~ if you see them, you wont recoginse them to be the close relatives of the boy who died. they have come to terms with the incident. the child is very blissful where he is. when he was in his physical body, the kid used to frequent my meditation hideout in Amritapuri. he would come with his friends and cause a mayhem in the quiet place! we used to laugh at their pranks. i miss his pranks, but not him. dear Lindaji, do you really think you might need to put them on the list? if yes, you might need a big list of names. he's has that many relatives Amritapuri!! dear sister Iswari ~ im not in Amritapuri right now. if you need the names, you might get it from the International Office. lokah samasthah sukhino bhavanthu.. at Her Lotus Feet, Her baby : ) - nierika Ammachi Wednesday, August 24, 2005 7:28 PM Re: Prayer list request from Amritapuri Iswari wrote: Amma said that the boy has merged with God, so I'm not sad for him, but I feel deeply for the pain his mother and aunt (who was also here) must be experiencing at this time. Dear Iswari, Arun and all ~ I will put these three dear souls, without their names, if need be, on the prayer list ~ the boy who died and the surviving mother and aunt. If anyone can get their names to me, I will put them on the list by name. Jai Ma ~ Linda Aum Amriteswarayai Namaha! Guest guest
I've seen the mother laughing and joking as if nothing had happened. I've also seen her crying. If they have 100% come to terms with it, that is truly a miracle from Amma. It may be, though, that she is in some shock. Maybe this is just my own limitation, but it's hard to believe that there won't be some point where the loss won't hit her...Again, maybe it is my own limitation, but in my own experience of loss, I find that we can be reminded at unexpected times and that coming to terms is not something that happens only once....but if she has been able to do this all at once, I would be amazed and humbled. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya. There seems to be a sentiment here that to mourn, grieve, completely "lose it" over losing a child would somehow indicate some spiritual strength or enlightenment...I don't believe that to be true...bypassing normal human emotions is not spiritual. Just remember Amma sitting with the families of those who died in the tsunami with tears running down her face... - Rena Ammachi, "ammasiswari" <ammasiswari> wrote: > I've seen the mother laughing and joking as if nothing had happened. > I've also seen her crying. Guest guest
Here! Here! I agree fully. If I am not my emotions, then I need not avoid them, or repress them. I can choose how I act because of them, just as I choose how to act because of any thought that arises. Being spiritual doesn't require being abnormal.
