Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma,

Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. Blessings to

all of you for participating in this seva. I am sure that Amma knows of this,

even when She does not see the list, because She has blessed the Prayer List

many, many times.

Again, I believe it would be a good idea to outwardly (verbally) or

inwardly, whichever suits the individual person, state the intention that "I

am

saying this prayer for these people," and then to outwardly or inwardly say

their names.

And again, we have a terrible tragedy, with many victims to collectively

offer prayer for, during our regular Prayer Day, Sunday, and any other time we

Amma has asked that all Her children pray "for world peace and harmony.

For the thousands of people who died in the devastating earthquake in

Pakistan, India and Afghanistan…

For those who lost their homes and hopes in the tsunami…And in the Hurricane

in

the United States…

For the people who died in the stampede in Iraq…

For those who drowned in the floods in Mumbai and South America…

For the people who are dying in wars and terrorist attacks… for their peace

of mind and also for their near and dear ones who will have to continue living

immersed in the painful memories of the departed souls…"

For Swami Dayamrita & all of Amma's devotees who have been called to action

to help

alleviate the suffering of the victims of hurricane Katrina

For All Members of the Ammachi Digest

For those killed in recent terrorist attacks in Jordan

Dogs, cats & other animals made homeless by the hurricanes

For Southern Mexico (for relief of suffering)

For Amma's North American children (for their highest good & to see Amma in

November)

For Rita Adair and the Allied Neighborhood

For All Pioneer House Clients

For all who are suffering

That we may all remember who we really are

For all the leaders in the world at all levels that their hearts be opened

to God's Love,

For the world ~ that we may remember who we are

For all those killed, injured or in any way affected by the terrorist

attacks in New Dehli, India

For terrorists, that they will discover who they are and seek peaceful

resolution to conflicts

For the starving people, especially the children, in Nigeria

For the "dark cloud" time in 2005 still seen by Amma

Then people can proceed with their prayer, whatever they wish it to be.

Some of the suggestions are:

* to say the Aum Amriteswaryai Namah (a mala or as many or as

few as is comfortable)

* to say your own mantra given by Amma, or some other mantra you

feel especially drawn to

* to say the 108 Names of Amma

* to pray in any other way that suits you

* to say the Mahamrtumjaya Mantra (I suggest 21 times, but again,

as many or as few as is comfortable:

* to say or add the Gayatri Mantra for Bhumi (Amma calls her Bhu Devi),

Please remember, you can use one or more of these suggested prayers or

whatever other prayer you wish

It has been suggested that people could use these names and continue to

pray each day or any one or more days during the week, however, the

official

PRAYER GROUP DAY will be SUNDAY.

I would like to suggest, and again this is only a suggestion that people

can do

or not do, that we end with:

Om Lokaah Samastaa Sukhinoh Bhavantu (May all Beings be Happy)

and

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma,

Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. Blessings to

all of you for participating in this seva.

This week has had sadness in it for us due to the passing of Dixie

(Snehalata) Thatcher. She brought a gentleness and joy to our group, and even

in her

final struggles with her illness, she remembered us and shared her experiences

with us. I would like to suggest, whenever we do our prayer seva this week,

that we light a candle, or a tea light, or maybe some incense, in

appreciation of Dixie. As the light of the candle and/or the smoke from the

incense

reaches heavenward, so it carries our appreciation, our love, and our prayers

for

Dixie, that she has found peace and even more joy, in the lap of the Divine,

in her crossing.

Again, I believe it would be a good idea to outwardly (verbally) or

inwardly, whichever suits the individual person, state the intention that "I

am

saying this prayer for these people," and then to outwardly or inwardly say

their names.

And again, we have a terrible tragedy, with many victims to collectively

offer prayer for, during our regular Prayer Day, Sunday, and any other time we

choose.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For (as our Dear Amma said)..."the cool, gentle breeze of divine grace" to
"lift the clouds of
anger, hatred and revenge...let us pray with melting hearts."
For all beings
For all those who are cold and need shelter
For all of Amma's devotees who have been helping alleviate the suffering of
Katrina victims
For All Members of the Ammachi Digest
For Rita Adair and the Allied Neighborhood
For All Pioneer House Clients, and Pioneer House & River Street Shelter Staff
For Santa Cruz HRC Christmas Family Adoptions
For all who are suffering
That we may all remember who we really are
For all the leaders in the world at all levels that their hearts be opened
to God's Love,
Compassion & Guidance
For the world ~ that we may remember who we are
For terrorists, that they will discover who they are and seek peaceful
resolution to conflicts
For the starving people of the world
For the "dark cloud" time in 2005 still seen by Amma
Then people can proceed with their prayer, whatever they wish it to be.
Some of the suggestions are:
* to say the Aum Amriteswaryai Namah (a mala or as many or as
few as is comfortable)
* to say your own mantra given by Amma, or some other mantra you
feel especially drawn to
* to say the 108 Names of Amma
* to pray in any other way that suits you
* to say the Mahamrtumjaya Mantra (I suggest 21 times, but again,
as many or as few as is comfortable:
Mantra: tryambakam yajamahe sugandhim pushtivarddhanam
urruvarukamiva bandhanan mrtyor mukshi ymamrtat
* to say or add the Gayatri Mantra for Bhumi (Amma calls her Bhu Devi),
our Mother
Earth:
Om Vasundharaya vidmahe
Bhutadhatraya dhimahi
Tanno Bhumih prachodayat
*to say or add the Bija Mantra for Bhumi:
Om hrim shrim klim Vasundharayai svaha
Please remember, you can use one or more of these suggested prayers or
whatever other prayer you wish
It has been suggested that people could use these names and continue to
pray each day or any one or more days during the week, however, the
official
PRAYER GROUP DAY will be SUNDAY.
I would like to suggest, and again this is only a suggestion that people
can do
or not do, that we end with:
Om Lokaah Samastaa Sukhinoh Bhavantu (May all Beings be Happy)
and
Shant Shanti Shanti
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma,
I think I may have already posted this to the digest, but I can't remember,
and since I didn't see it in this digest, I am sending it again. Please bear
with me ... forgetfulness is part of my illness. Jai Ma
You may start sending in names for this week's prayer list at any time, up
until 1:00 pm (mountain time, US) on Friday. Please remember:
* to state the amount of time you wish the person to be on the list (it
can be anything from
the current week only, two weeks, a month, or to the end of the current
quarter (12/25)
Please note that if no time length is specified for the person, they
will be on the prayer
list for the current week only
* send prayer requests to my personal email: _Nierika_
(Nierika) and put Prayer Group in
the subject line. Since I am always behind on my email, this will ensure
your prayer
request gets read because I look for these first. You may also post in
the digest.
* you may state the reason that prayer is being requested, in simplified
form, to be
included as a part of the prayer list (e.g., for healing, for proper
discernment, for support,
for peace, etc.). There is no reason too mundane to be included as part
of the prayer list.
* you may state the reason for your prayer request, but specify that it
NOT be included
as part of the prayer list.
* also, please note, that, unless otherwise specified, names sent in to
the prayer list will
be put in alphabetical order within the list, either by first name (if
no last name is given) or
by last name.
Again, thanks to all who are participating in the prayer seva ~ Linda
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma,
Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. Blessings to
all of you for participating in this seva. Please note that at the end of the
list where *the dark cloud times in 2005 are mentioned, that Amma has recently
made special mention of "dark clouds" around the time of December 26. Our
last prayer day for this quarter will be December 25.
I would like to suggest now, and will include a reminder with the next
prayer list, that we also use the list for prayer, along with any others prayers
we wish to include, on December 26.
Again, I believe it would be a good idea to outwardly (verbally) or
inwardly, whichever suits the individual person, state the intention that "I
am
Amma has asked that all Her children pray "for world peace and harmony.
For the thousands of people who died in the devastating earthquake in
Pakistan, India and Afghanistan…
For those who lost their homes and hopes in the tsunami…And in the Hurricane
in
the United States…
For the people who died in the stampede in Iraq…
For those who drowned in the floods in Mumbai and South America…
For the people who are dying in wars and terrorist attacks… for their peace
of mind and also for their near and dear ones who will have to continue living
immersed in the painful memories of the departed souls…"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

For (as our Dear Amma said)..."the cool, gentle breeze of divine grace" to

"lift the clouds of

anger, hatred and revenge...let us pray with melting hearts."

For all beings

For all those who are cold and need shelter

For all of Amma's devotees who have been helping alleviate the suffering of

Katrina victims

For All Members of the Ammachi Digest

For Rita Adair and the Allied Neighborhood

For All Pioneer House Clients, and Pioneer House & River Street Shelter Staff

For Santa Cruz HRC Christmas Family Adoptions

For prisoners of for-profit prisons who have been recently moved from Alaska

to Arizona, where they have no family or friends to visit them (for comfort

and protection against the high rate of depression and suicide that is

occurring in this group)

For all who are suffering

That we may all remember who we really are

For all the leaders in the world at all levels that their hearts be opened

to God's Love,

Compassion & Guidance

For the world ~ that we may remember who we are

For terrorists, that they will discover who they are and seek peaceful

resolution to conflicts

For the starving people of the world

*For the "dark cloud" time in 2005 still seen by Amma, and especially for

"dark clouds

around December 26, 2005

Then people can proceed with their prayer, whatever they wish it to be.

Some of the suggestions are:

* to say the Aum Amriteswaryai Namah (a mala or as many or as

few as is comfortable)

* to say your own mantra given by Amma, or some other mantra you

feel especially drawn to

* to say the 108 Names of Amma

* to pray in any other way that suits you

* to say the Mahamrtumjaya Mantra (I suggest 21 times, but again,

as many or as few as is comfortable:

Mantra: tryambakam yajamahe sugandhim pushtivarddhanam

urruvarukamiva bandhanan mrtyor mukshi ymamrtat

* to say or add the Gayatri Mantra for Bhumi (Amma calls her Bhu Devi),

our Mother

Earth:

Om Vasundharaya vidmahe

Bhutadhatraya dhimahi

Tanno Bhumih prachodayat

*to say or add the Bija Mantra for Bhumi:

Om hrim shrim klim Vasundharayai svaha

Please remember, you can use one or more of these suggested prayers or

whatever other prayer you wish

It has been suggested that people could use these names and continue to

pray each day or any one or more days during the week, however, the

official

PRAYER GROUP DAY will be SUNDAY.

I would like to suggest, and again this is only a suggestion that people

can do

or not do, that we end with:

Om Lokaah Samastaa Sukhinoh Bhavantu (May all Beings be Happy)

and

Shant Shanti Shanti
