Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. Blessings to all of you for participating in this seva. I am sure that Amma knows of this, even when She does not see the list, because She has blessed the Prayer List many, many times. Again, I believe it would be a good idea to outwardly (verbally) or inwardly, whichever suits the individual person, state the intention that "I am saying this prayer for these people," and then to outwardly or inwardly say their names. And again, we have a terrible tragedy, with many victims to collectively offer prayer for, during our regular Prayer Day, Sunday, and any other time we choose. The names for this week's Prayer Group are: Amma (for Her welfare and the safety and good health of Her body) Olu Phillips-Alonge amarnath & samarpana Vidinyu Ambani Amritavarshini's Pacific Northwest Sister Kingsford and Duke and Kevin Ameyaw Anupama & her grandfather, Web (recently deceased during hurricane Katrina) Amber Arends Amritavarshini Elan & his mother, Tustil Ananda (for shelter & support) Jim Ashley Joan & Joe Avallone Nicholas & Joelle Baranowski (for protection, health & happiness) Bela Kirk Bernhardt, his wife & his parrots Judy Bar-Shimon (for any healing or assistance with her auto-immune disease) Judy's Boyfriend Adriane Bradley Carolyn Iva and Dennis Carras Michael Caruso Kok Heng Cheong's nephew Cheryl (for healing of heart to reduce need for dangerous blood-thinning drug) Chris Amy Dawn Julianna Dean (for healing) Koh Young Seng Donn Stanley Dowbnia Koh Koon Ea Emma Erin (recently deceased), Erin's 16 mo. old son, Richard Howard & Richard's Richard's Grandmother, Tere Donnelly, Barbara Ferguson Karen Foxgrover G. Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. Blessings to all of you for participating in this seva. This week has had sadness in it for us due to the passing of Dixie (Snehalata) Thatcher. She brought a gentleness and joy to our group, and even in her final struggles with her illness, she remembered us and shared her experiences with us. I would like to suggest, whenever we do our prayer seva this week, that we light a candle, or a tea light, or maybe some incense, in appreciation of Dixie. As the light of the candle and/or the smoke from the incense reaches heavenward, so it carries our appreciation, our love, and our prayers for Dixie, that she has found peace and even more joy, in the lap of the Divine, in her crossing. Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, I think I may have already posted this to the digest, but I can't remember, and since I didn't see it in this digest, I am sending it again. Please bear with me ... forgetfulness is part of my illness. Jai Ma You may start sending in names for this week's prayer list at any time, up until 1:00 pm (mountain time, US) on Friday. Please remember: * to state the amount of time you wish the person to be on the list (it can be anything from the current week only, two weeks, a month, or to the end of the current quarter (12/25) Please note that if no time length is specified for the person, they will be on the prayer list for the current week only * send prayer requests to my personal email: _Nierika_ (Nierika) and put Prayer Group in the subject line. Since I am always behind on my email, this will ensure your prayer request gets read because I look for these first. You may also post in the digest. * you may state the reason that prayer is being requested, in simplified form, to be included as a part of the prayer list (e.g., for healing, for proper discernment, for support, for peace, etc.). There is no reason too mundane to be included as part of the prayer list. * you may state the reason for your prayer request, but specify that it NOT be included as part of the prayer list. * also, please note, that, unless otherwise specified, names sent in to the prayer list will be put in alphabetical order within the list, either by first name (if no last name is given) or by last name. Again, thanks to all who are participating in the prayer seva ~ Linda
Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. Blessings to all of you for participating in this seva. Please note that at the end of the list where *the dark cloud times in 2005 are mentioned, that Amma has recently made special mention of "dark clouds" around the time of December 26. Our last prayer day for this quarter will be December 25. I would like to suggest now, and will include a reminder with the next prayer list, that we also use the list for prayer, along with any others prayers we wish to include, on December 26. The names for this week's Prayer Group are: Amma (for Her welfare and the safety and good health of Her body) Olu Phillips-Alonge amarnath & samarpana Vidinyu Ambani Ambika (for strength in caring for her elderly mother) Amritavarshini Amritavarshini's Pacific Northwest Sister Kingsford and Duke and Kevin Ameyaw Annie (an infant, for healing) & Laura, Annie's Mother (for strength in this time of crisis) Anupama & her grandfather, Web (recently deceased during hurricane Katrina) Amber Arends Elan & his mother, Tusti/Ananda (for shelter & support, and for Amma's Grace) Jim Ashley Joan & Joe Avallone Leonard B. Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Amma, Once again, thank you all for sending in names for prayers. Blessings to all of you for participating in this seva. I don't recall hearing about any terrible tragedy or disaster on December 26, so maybe all of our prayers helped a bit. Again, I believe it would be a good idea to outwardly (verbally) or inwardly, whichever suits the individual person, state the intention that "I am saying this prayer for these people," and then to outwardly or inwardly say their names.
