Guest guest
Namaste Yogaman, Thank you for your information. Yes, at this moment I am looking for a cheap mala. The $8 ones on the Amma site are affordable for me, and I was searching and I like the sandalwood ones there, as well. Regarding the incessant japa, do you happen to have any links (or a source) of where Amma says this? I fully believe you, I just enjoy being able to save things on webpages, or to know where I can look to read up further on something. Do you or anyone have any recommendations of mantras that I could use? You were indeed correct in your assumption of me having several problems right now. Unemployment, lack of finances, and my health are my main concerns... the other issues are petty in comparison with what many others go through. I've never done the Lalita Sahasranama before... I found a text listing of the 1000 names on this website: http://astrojyoti.com/ls1.htm. I also found an MP3 file on a website of a woman reciting this (http://www.devotionalsongs.com/)... and it was so lovely! The only problem is I could not download it (was streaming audio). I have a version of the LS being recited by a man (from http://www.brahmansabha.com/stotras/DEVI/LALITASAHASRANAMA.mp3), but I am more drawn to the one with the female. If anyone can direct me to somewhere I can download that version (or explain how... I searched the source code and didn't see a direct link to the actual file), I'd greatly appreciate it. Are there any free downloadable audio files online with Amma chanting mantras, etc.? Again, thank you for your recommendations, Yogaman! ¸... ´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸..´ ..´¨¨)) ((¸¸..´ ...´ -:¦:- ..::Brightest Blessings::.. -:¦:- ((¸¸..´.¸...` ..::Bela::.. - childofdevi Ammachi Sunday, September 18, 2005 2:57 PM Re: To Bela on Mala Source Hi Bela, If you cannot afford a mala that ok, IMO these are add-on's that are not strictly required. Also the malas at the Amma shop are pretty expensive, if you are interested in getting a source of cheap malas, there are other places (a crystal should cost around 10$). It appears that you are having financial problems as well as other problems. Amma's recommendation is incessant japa - if you do japa of ONE mantra(preferably something that has no bija in it) for at least 3-4 hours daily, I think you will find that things will go along very well in life. If you can do one entire day of japa without any gap (this is Amma's recommendation), it will feel ecstatic - only takes a day and it is entirely upto you to make it happen. This can be done regardless of whatever other activity you are engaged in. Dont forget that most priceless divine balm, the Lalita Sahasranama. Hope that helps and best wishes, -yogaman
Guest guest
Hi Bela, Here is a link to Amma's teachings on japa. Incessant japa is emphasized elsewhere in her books as well. http://www.ammachi.org/teachings/spiritual-practices/puja-japa.html For LS, why not use the version sung by the male for learning the stotra if nothing else is available. On mantras, there is a portion of an outstanding book at the following link. Mahatmas emphasize the need to do one mantra alone at least in the beginning,so... http://www.dlshq.org/teachings/japayoga.htm Best wishes, -yogaman Ammachi, Bela Gaytán <bela.fela@g...> wrote: > Namaste Yogaman, > > Thank you for your information.
