....I think it is time to really start heeding her warning in regard to

the fury of nature, and start praying and meditating on restoring some type

of balance...

Dear Ananthasree and all ~ the great balance of all Life, of the Earth,

Gaia, Our Mother Earth, and of the larger universe, has always been a great

concern for me, and, when I lived back in the Washington, DC, area, I used to

do

an "Earth Blessing Ceremony" to honor this balance, wherever and whenever I

could ~ in schools, at galleries, at community arts fairs, etc. I also

participated in musical performances where this was the theme. This song, which

I

really want to share with all of you, is not part of the Earth Blessing

Ceremony, but it is one of the songs I did during that time. Jai Gaia ~ Linda

Travel The Great Circle

Chorus & First Verse

1.

Travel the great circle;

hear what the Earth has to say.

Open to the rhythm;

your heart will show you the way.

2.

You will hear the rustling of her flying

as she lifts you on the wings of her song,

and she will sound the pounding drumming

of the surf within your soul

'til you know for sure you're not alone.

Chorus

Travel the great circle;

hear what the Earth has to say.

Open to the rhythm;

your heart will show you the way.

3.

You will hear the tender beating

of hooves against the ground,

all our relations who may soon be gone,

and the lonely lovely call of a wolf upon the wind

in the night as she sings to the moon.

Chorus

Travel the great circle;

hear what the Earth has to say.

Open to the rhythm;

your heart will show you the way.

4.

You will hear the sad sweet tears

of waves upon the shore

and the soundless song within the shell,

and the laughter of the dolphin playing in the deep,

as she leaps, she hopes that all is well.

Chorus

Travel the great circle;

hear what the Earth has to say.

Open to the rhythm;

your heart will show you the way.
