Only ten days till Amma comes YAYAYAY

here is another message from Ajitha

A Plea to All parents attending Amma's Fall programs

Dear Parents,

It is Amma time again and we are all counting the days till we see

Her. We hope parents and children of all ages will have a positive experience at

Amma’s programs so the Midwest tour coordinators are working very hard to create

a wide variety of activities for the child(ren). We have three youth programs,

for young children (4 to 8), preteens (9-12), and teens (13 and up).

We care very much for the safety of all child(ren). We realize that children

naturally want to play and have fun and we would like to encourage these

activities, however in previous years unsupervised children have created

problems for other guests and/or risk getting hurt themselves.

A plea - all parents whose children are participating in the childcare or youth

programs are required to volunteer at least 1 hour in either of the rooms. We

really, really need and appreciate your participation. Without cooperation from

parents it will be difficult for us to be able to offer these meaningful

programs to you and your children. When asking Amma how to improve the

Children’s programs, Amma has repeatedly asked that there be more consistent

involvement from the parents.

Please help us provide an enriching experience for all of Amma’s children – big

and small as well as the volunteers taking care of the children. (With your

help, the volunteers may be able to participate in at least 1 of Amma’s divine

satsang & bhajans)

Some guidelines for your children, please adhere to age recommendations

(siblings included):

(If you appoint a guardian or babysitter to supervise your child(ren), please

inform them of these guidelines.)

Thank you for your help in keeping our children safe and well cared for!

For parents of children under 4 years of age

Were you aware that:

Parents with young children and babies may receive darshan in a special line.

Please go to the special needs section if you feel it would be extremely

difficult for you to wait in the long lines with your very young children.

Parents with children under the age of 4 are welcome to hang out in the

children’s program with their child (please understand that you need to be with

the child at all times). The children’s program is in the Director’s room.

During the very quiet times in the Darshan hall, (meditation and

satsang/talks) parents with young children are invited to the Plaza room to

watch everything that is happening in the hall on a TV screen. This way, you do

not have to worry about your child making noise and others not being able to

catch what is being said.
