Om Namah Shivaya

Dear List Members,

if any of you happen to meet Swamiji Ramakrishnananda in the coming

days, can you please convey to him the following message from Sara in

Iceland:

Vani (my fellow devotee in Iceland) and I have now both read his

new book The Blessed Life , and we have found it a wonderfully

inspiring book with many beautiful small stories about Amma .

Also, we are very grateful for how much

Swamiji shared of his own personal stuggles, in the book. It is very

helpful to us on our own spiritual paths.

It my personal opinion it is the best book he has written,

and I can only hope that he soon writes another one.

Another quote from the book

The Blessed Life - page 254 :

Amma said,

" Grace is always falling like rain. We just have to become open to

receive it." ......

" Amma tells us that each one of us has a subtle aura, and in this

aura is recorded a subtle impression of every one of our thoughts,

words and actions. In a person who thinks only pure thoughts, speaks

only good words, and performs only good actions, the aura will be

golden in color and extremely receptive to grace. Whereas, in a person

whose mind is full of negative thoughts, such as judgmental,

venegeful, jealous or lustful thoughts, who is sharp-tongued and

mean-spirited, and whose actions benefit only himself or herself, the

aura will be dark and clouded--thus, the light of grace will not be

able to pass through. It is the impressions left by this person's own

actions that block the flow of grace from reaching him or her."

In Amma's Love,
