Nope..as you might have guessed from the .au in the

url, and the accent of the program host, ABC is the

Australian Broadcasting Corp. There is no connection

at all to the US network.

 

ABC Radio National is like CBC Radio One here in

Canada, or one of the domestic BBC networks. The

closest thing to it stateside (i.e. a non-commercial,

highbrow, erudite-sounding radio network, often towing

the liberal/leftist party line) would be NPR.
