Guest guest
Wouldn't it be funny if Kali appeared to the Russian church leader, can you imagine! So my sister is a flight attendant, she has "accidently" flown home from Narita Japan TWICE with Amma on the plane. She knew who Amma was at that time, however she was scared to get a hug. I didn't scold her for not getting a hug, I just told her how jealous I was... I believe that we are called to different paths, and it is very unusual to find siblings following the same paths, it is very unusual to find different generations of any family following the same path. I think our expectations of what family members and friends could/ should/ would think of our involvement with Amma/ spirituality/ committments/ selfless service, etc. is what gets us in trouble. We expect other members of our families and our social circles to be excited about the spiritual progress we are making, when in reality, a lot of times they could care less and may even be jealous and seeking to destroy our happiness. We expect to hear praises to Amma, when they don't know who Amma is or what she is about. We expect all these wonderful feelings we have about Amma to be felt by our friends and family. I believe these expectations are what cause hurt, confusion, misunderstanding and rejection from family and friends.. My experience is that I was always the "black sheeprebelhippie" "scapegoat" of my family, so when I began to follow Amma they didn't really care anyway. My sister did ask if I was in a cult, I patiently explained that I was not - that Amma was about love and selfless service which she could not argue with. I didn't try to persuade her or change her mind, I just said "Amma is about unconditional love and selfless service, that is it"and though my sister may never get a hug from Amma, she wishes me well in my spiritual practice. Try showing how happy you are when around family members, try being quiet and peaceful and calm. No need to explain that Amma is the cause, no need to explain anything. No one can make another human do anything. Only God can make us accept or reject the path we are to follow. Vengence is mine, sayeth the Lord! If someone disrespects you or your Amma, then know that they are rejecting love in their life, they are not rejecting you. They can only reject you if you let them...what would Amma do? She would LAUGH at the naysayers and mumblers for being so silly! Trying seeing Amma in the room with you, and then if anyone asks why you are laughing, just keep laughing, don't dare tell them why... The Apostle Paul persecuted Christians for a living before he had his experience on the road to Damascus. Amma was criticized by her villagers for years. Now they love her. Guest guest
PAUL NOT ONLY PERSECUTED DEVOTESS OF THE WAY(CHRISTIANS)BUT ACCORDING TO THE BOOK OF ACTS HE ALSO MADE THE CALL IN HAVING THEM EXECUTED.STEPHAN ASKED THE HEAVENLY FATHER TO FORGIVE HIS MURDERERS WHILE HE WAS BEING KILLED .PAUL WAS THERE AND THE HEAD MAN IN CHARGE WHILE THIS TOOK PLACE.PAUL WENT ON TO SPREAD THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST ALL OVER THE ENTIRE PLANET. IF YOU READ THE BOOK OF 1RST CORINTHIANS CHAPTER 13,YOU WILL HERE PAUL SPEAK PROFOUNDLY ABOUT LOVE.IN THE BOOK OF COLLOSIONS PAUL TELLS THIS COMMUNITY THAT THE HOPE OF ALL GLORY AND THE MYSTERY THAT HAD BEEN KEPT SECRET FOR AGES IS THAT "CHRIST IS WITHIN YOU". THIS IS THE SAME PERSON THAT ONCE EXECUTED CHRISTIANS . CHRIST SAID IN THE BOOK OF MATHEW CHAPTER FIVE OR SIX ,THAT WE SHOULD "LOVE OUR ENEMYS AND BLESS THOSE THAT CURSE US AND DO GOOD TO THOSE THAT PERSECUTE US.THIS IS ALSO IN THE BOOK OF LUKE.AMMAS son does not love the sin,BUT HE "STRIVES" LIKE AMMA TO ALWAYS LOVE THE SINNER. JESUS(YASHUA)TOLD HIS DEVOTEES(DISCIPLES)THAT THERE WOULD COME A TIME WHEN PEOPLE WOULD KILL THEM AND THINK THAT THEY WERE DOING GODS WORK.WHILE ON HIS CROSS HE SAID TO" FORGIVE THEM FATHER FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO."THAT WAS AMMA ON THAT CROSS BECAUSE LIKE SHE HAS SAID OVER AND OVER AGAIN.IT IS THE SAME PURE CONSIOUSNESS. THAT IS AMMAs sons first solution in OUR BELOVED BROTHER TOOKIES ORDEAL.AMMAs son believes that since he was a SPIRITUALLY TRANSFORMED PERSON THAT HE WOULD WANT AMMAs son TO FORGIVE HIS MURDERERS JUST AS GOD FORGAVE HIM FOR THE PEOPLE WHOSE LIVES HE TOOK.THAT IS DIVINE JUSTICE. NOW LETS STAY INSPIRED AND GET THAT DEATH PENALTY ABOLISHED! IF THIS IS NOT ON THE PRAYER LIST PLEASE sister linda please put it there.AMMAMAMMAMAMAMMAMAMAMAMAMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAA LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.MA MA MA MA MA MA MA AMA MAMAMAAAAAAAAAAAAA MAAAAMMAAAAMAMMMMAMMA IS LOVE LOVE LOVE ISLOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE AMMA IS. >Rick Archer <rick >Ammachi ><Ammachi> >Re: Explaining Amma >Tue, 13 Dec 2005 18:10:47 -0600 > >on 12/13/05 5:20 PM, Omenka Supriti Nnadi at oomenka wrote: > > > Vengence is mine, sayeth the Lord! Guest guest
Dearest Malati, How beautiful how you relay to others what Amma means and is to you! I also live in the Bible Belt... Church of God Int'l headquarters right here in town. I've had several people accept me and my beliefs, but I have also encountered people who wanted to let me know that what I believe in is "wrong". I think maybe one reason people accept your explanation of Amma is your many references to Jesus Christ. I don't really relate Amma to Christ if I am speaking to someone, except for the fact that they are both gurus who have blessed our earth with their presence. Of course, the other reason they are warm & accepting towards you is that you are a beautiful person, and you are blessed to have people in your life who truly love you! (**) I am fortunate to also have some very special people in my life, who sincerely ask questions about Amma and Hinduism. Perhaps one day, more of the "not-so-understanding" ones will come around, eh? Jai Ma & thank you for sharing your perspective with us all! ¸..• ´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸.•´ .•´¨¨)) ((¸¸.•´ ..•´ -:¦:- ..::Brightest Blessings::.. -:¦:- ((¸¸.•´.¸..•` ..::Bela::.. "Like nectar in the fresh morning flower, let goodness fill you. The heart that unfolds all its petals spreading the fragrance of goodness is the choicest offering at the altar of God" - Amma _____ Ammachi [Ammachi] On Behalf Of feelbetterocala Saturday, December 24, 2005 11:06 AM Ammachi Re: Digest Number 1840 Namaste: I live in the Bible belt and have not encountered any problems explaining Amma. Also, my mother in law is a strict Cathloic and she wanted to go with me to attend a darshan and it was beautiful. Here is what I say to friends, family and patients at work. I explain that Amma is a very advanced spiritual person. That I do not want them to think I am being blastmous (spell??) that when I go and see Amma the Bible comes to life for me. That I see all of Jesus's words and life in action. I say this with a lot of love in my heart. I explain that she offers free medical service and builds homes for widows, etc etc, and this inspires me to be more Christ like in my giving and serviing others. I explain that one of the ways she helps others is that she hugs them and calls everyone her children. I let them know that I have personally witnessed her sit for more than 9 hours hugging people with the same smile and love and care. That you can ask her questions and ask for a personal prayer from her. That when you are hugged by her you can feel Divine Christ Love around her and smell sweet rose smells. I stay very simple and sweet when speaking of her and with a lot of love in my heart. I explain that being in her presence and seeing a woman giving such love and care to people in the world without asking for a dime helps me as a woman relate better to walking a spiritual path. That I love Jesus but for some reason watching another woman walk a path of Divine Love and Compassion and do everything that Jesus did has helped me. That Love & Compassion is so important to me that I dont care that I dont understand all the beautiful devotional music being sung and I dont care if she is showing her love through the Hindu path. So, each year, I go and spend spiritual retreat with her and I pray and meditate and cry and bring all my problems to her to help me understand and heal and become a better person. So I can return and love/serve people more. I usually do not go into the unbelievable profound spiritual experiences I have had with her which are beyond words. Or talk about my entire life transforming since meeting her. I stay very light and simple with truth as I experience it. I have always experienced a very positive response when I speak of her explaining from my heart meeting people at where they are at instead of where I am at. I prayed for Amma to give me the words because I am here to serve not to be crucified. She has never let me down in guiding me with what to say to people. I Loves Service malati
