Also, if I recall correctly… someone posted that the “other” Amma,

Karunamayi made a prediction about this date. Perhaps whoever gave you the

information simply said “Amma”, and didn’t clarify that it was Karunamayi?

 

 

 

I agree with what GeorgeSon has said. It’s good to be inquisitive and not

blindly follow someone or something. It shows that you are truly interested

and doing what you feel is right, not just going with the flow or following

for other reasons.

 

 

 

I also agree that one statement of hearsay isn’t necessarily proof enough.

It’s something akin to the chain letters that go around… where you get it

from someone who states, “I’ve received this from a reputable source, my

attorney friend”. But if you ask that friend, they say that they didn’t

actually have the event happen to them… it was to their good friend… and

that friend rec’d it from their mother, and so on.

 

 

 

Good intentions (sometimes) to spread information can get very far from the

actual truth. Remember the whisper game we played as kids? Whisper

something into the ear of your neighbor, and see what the “secret” is by the

time it makes it all across the room.

 

 

 

Perhaps Ma tells us what we need to hear, and not necessarily what will

happen or come true. What she tells us could be what our minds and out

hearts need to hear at the moment, or to help us through our difficult time.

It makes me think of the Matrix Trilogy, and how the Oracle tells Neo what

he needs to hear… not what will happen. (Odd analogy perhaps… but I’m a

sci-fi geek, LOL.) (**)

In another Amma group (Austin), someone mentioned that Amma isn't here

for miracles and predictions so we should just shrug off these

things...

 

I appreciate the responses to this topic here in this group and in the

other group. The topic is, in part, about Amma's Dec. 26 prediction

not coming true and devotees wondering about why that is but even

more, for many devotees, the topic is about the direct personal

answers She gives us to our personal questions asked during darshan

that don't come true.

 

As I mentioned, She HAS given direct personal answers to me (and

others) during darshan, and translated by the Swamis to me (and

others), in direct answer to personal questions asked, that turn out

not to be true. Those were not "rumors" or general global

predictions...if we are to just shrug off her global predictions and

Her direct personal answers to us as individuals, should we also shrug

off everything she says...? Kalika
