I too have come across the turtle reference recently in one of the Hindu scriptures I was reading, and I practically dropped the book. : ) Thank you also for sharing the linguistic similarities you have discovered. I believe as you do that there was a lot more travel going on in "pre-history" than most historians are aware of. But in this era of deconstructionism, much of our wrongheaded history is getting a new look, and some of this is coming out in the form of new history books, and, at least at the college level classes, addressing who wrote history and why and what the difference between that and actual history is.
