Guest guest
Linda, i thought i would answer your question online to share with others. Karunamayi has released a CD recently( last year ? )on this mantra: ~ om hrim namah sivaya ~ this mantra is chanted continously on the CD perhaps, it might work well on sivaratri day concerning your q about "hrim" "Chanting the mantra 'hrim' let the mind flow like a river towards the Ocean of Love and meet and become one with it." first line in "OMKARA DIVYA PORULE-IV" page 155 Bhajanamritam i have heard that 'hrim' helps to open the heart and some refer to it as the 'heart mantra'; perhaps others know more about this and would like to share ? for me it's a combination of two of my favorite mantras ~ 'hrim' and 'om namah sivaya' amma's blessings, amarnath
Guest guest
The Tamil Tantra classic Tirumantiram gives the estoeric meanings of many of the bija mantras. It has nine Tantras, but Tantra 4 is the one of relevance. A link to the English translation of Tantra 4 can be found at: http://www.himalayanacademy.com/resources/books/tirumantiram/TantraFour.html You may need to scroll down to the bottom to get the bijas.
