Guest guest
I am just Ms. Posty tonight... Even though the apostles had great faith in Christ, each of them met with horrific deaths. Christ did not make a difference in this way. Some had great difficulties-some stoned to death. The point is simply that their lives were not without difficulties even though they had Christ. Many of the martyrs in the Christian faith had devastating lives-eaten by lions, raped, and the list is endless. They had Christ, yet one could say their lives were "ruined." In light of this, consider how blaming Amma for everything wrong in our lives, really makes no sense at all. The goal is FAITH that thru it all, God is with us. Guest guest
Namaste Adriane, I woke up last night having the same thoughts that you write about below. I hadn't read your post yet so when I read it this morning, it was quite a confirmation of the answers I was receiving in the middle of the night. Thank you, and thanks to Amma too for answering my questions. Guest guest
namaste to all, in my view, christ definitely set a tough example for us ~ giving up the body on the cross. imho, he did that to show us that "we are not the body" but the spirit within which can never die and that it is better to be killed than to kill. many( some at least ? ) of his early followers followed his example ~ but as time passed the essence of his teachings was forgotton. doesn't mother tell us that all our problems are due to believing that we are the body? amma's blessings, amarnath/anatol Ammachi, "Adriane" <a1driane wrote: > > I am just Ms. Posty tonight... > > Even though the apostles had great faith in Christ, each of them met > with horrific deaths. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya On the same lines , please read Awaken Children Vol 4, page 115 to 120. AMMA talks about Devotee and Disciple. Here she also mentions : "The Guru may try to confuse the disciple by acting and speaking in strange and contradictory ways. The Guru may accuse the disciple of mistakes that he has not committed. But a true disciple will be endowed with the mental strength, determination and discrimination to overcome all these impediments. A true disciple gives up his Ego, his individuality. The river of the Guru carries him whereever the Guru wills. He has totally surrendered to the current of the Guru. He loses all rights on his body. He becomes like a corpse. He simply lets the Guru/God take him where ever the Guru/God wants. He does not judge the Guru. Such a disciple sees the inner Guru, not just the outer form. For him everything is the Guru" Namah Shivaya Bhaskar --- pravin <pravin9 wrote: > Adrine..great!!! this is worth sharing with many... > > Narayana.. > > > Ammachi > [Ammachi] On Behalf > Of Adriane > Saturday, February 25, 2006 9:26 AM > Ammachi > Christ and his Apostles > > I am just Ms. Posty tonight... > > Even though the apostles had great faith in Christ, > each of them met > with horrific deaths.
