Maybe She said those things at the time because the words were needed to keep me (or them) going forward in faith at the time, or to help us keep our sanity at the time in this nutty world... Once again...the Guru Gita: Verse 101: Oh Great Goddess, whoever spreads or listens to gossip about the Guru will remain in the deepest conflict so long as the moon and sun shine. My prayer is that we will all stop responding to this person in any way because every response just keeps this squabble going. Somehow, I don't think Amma would prefer that for us. Please notice that the verse also says "or listens to gossip about the Guru." The more we respond, the more we hear, the more we are "listening." Please let us stop now. Guest guest
It is obvious that many souls on this list have no conflict regarding Amma, and that they are able to assimilate and accept Amma's seemingly contradictory words as coming from a place of blessing. My sympathies are however with Kalika, who after years of devotion to Amma, is forced to seek comfort elsewhere. I hope her confusion dies soon, through whatever entity she worships. Siva and Kali are destroyers of Ego and what does that mean ? that the comfort will not always be there . Swami Dayamitra talked how many times they thought of Amma to be just ordinary and many times She does not satisfy in showing them Her Divintiy right away. He himself thought Amma to be ordinary when She did not acknowledge His Masters degree instead told Him to clean Cows. Amma most of all pinpoints the areas we need to work on. During Darshan many times She looks busy talks to people while hugging however She also sad " when mother nurses she could be doing something else at the same time " I thought that was very good comparison because that what She is doing exactly . Guest guest
Joanna, when I talk about Kalika going to a place of comfort, I don't mean physical comfort, of course, but the very faith that even discomfort is temporary and for the best. The very faith that makes one believe that even in the midst of pain, there is greater good to be had. If that itself is lacking, what is left? Love, perhaps, but when that too vanishes?
