Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya, Here is an update. Today Themba & I visited 3 facilities that serve homeless persons. An invitation to meet Amma, along with a Peter Max poster of Amma, will defintely be posted in at least 2 of them. The 1st. place was a beautiful family shelter, where Mother's Kitchen serves dinner 1x a month. Looks as if families will be offered a ride to meet Amma, & lunch, on the 1st. Saturday of Amma's San Ramon tour. The volunteer coordinator is checking to see if Amma's 50th. birthday celebration video can be shown there. The 2nd. stop was a homeless services center, that offers services to persons living in cars, on the street, in the woods, staying in shelters, or who are shuttled to various churches for the night. A very small percentage of this county's thousands of homeless persons, have a shelter in which to stay. The center's case manager offered to be the contact person, & initiated the idea of a sign-up sheet. She also wants to meet Amma & has an Amritavarsham video to watch. The 3rd. stop was at a transitional housing facility, located in the homeless services center's complex. The man attending the office said, "I'll do everything I can do to help," as he hugged Themba. He's going to pass on Amma's Embracing the World literature to his manager. I know of at least 3 persons who I believe are still staying there, who definitely want to see Amma this June. The use of a 12 passenger van, donations, devotees' offers to help, & most importantly, Amma's Grace, are sure to make this effort a success! Sweta How low will we go?
