Guest guest
Hi All, I am back from Australia--and didn't get the measles! But I did hear there were some problems for tour staff getting either out of Australia or into Singapore. I believe one young man on tour staff had the measles and stayed behind when Amma left Australia. (I was present when she departed the hotel for her car to the airport, and her concern for him was touching. I could have misunderstood, but I think she asked him if he had any money and he said no. AT least she asked him "Do you have any _____?" She then directed someone on her staff to help him.) Amma has once again satisfied this child's heart and mind that she is all-knowing and cares for each one of us. Amma has often stated that we are like clear ponds when we meet her, but have lots of gunk at the bottom of our "ponds." She has to dredge up the gunk to make us really clear, so this tour had a lot of "dredging up" issues for me personally. As much as I enjoyed the tour, it was quite rough in some ways. Being an Amma devotee is not for sissies! I wanted to run away, but the Divine Surgeon kept me on the operating table! Before I left, a dear friend told me, "You have to trust in the benevolence of the Divine Mother." Easier said than done for me. But as Amma said in Australia, "How can you run away from yourself?" Only the sure knowledge that the problems were in me and would happen again wherever I was, kept me from running away. I guess, in retrospect, I had the spritual measles. I have notes on the Gold Coast Q and A, as well as one or two of Swamiji's talks that I will post when I get time. However, Amma is causing things to move very quickly on several fronts, so we'll see when time manifests. Love, Jyotsna
