EMS - Do you have access to a fire pit/place ?

Dear All,

We have completed 12 weeks of the sankalpa - and more and more of those that have completed their first round of japa are joyfully returning to chant the second time around. The latest to join their ranks is our Kalia.

As you know the EMS involves both a japa portion and/or a homa portion. The homa portion involves only 1/10th the number of mantras as the japa. So for example if we chant 60 malas for Surya as part of the japa, we only need do 6 malas at the fire. The understanding is of course that performing at the fire is 10 times more powerful and efficient.

 

May I humbly recommend to those that have access to fire pit/place to try out this portion of the sankalpa? I started mine yesterday and cant recommend it enough .

So far we have 4 people that have completed their japa sankalpa - Sadhvi, Kanda, Eric and now Kalia. As a group we have done more than 12,000 malas in all - that is - as a group we have completed the japa portion atleast 10 times. Give yourselves a pat on the back brothers and sisters. And who knows how many we would complete by the end of this sankalpa.

Muktimaaji and Alan are going strong - they will probably finish by mid-May. Vasantha has completed the japa for Moon and also looks like she will complete soon.

Dan has crossed the half way mark - over 600 repetitions.

Dear Nanda,

I have never done a homa before. Is it possible for someone like me to do homa for this sadhana. I can buy a small havan kund from the Indian stores.
