Frightening Mother?

Dear Yeshe, I read so often about the "Dark Mother", the "Terrible

Mother", Kali is seen as a frightening image to many, violent and

stormy. But I can't see it. These images are only symbolic of what She

will do for us, for our highest good. I feel warmth, nurturing, safety.

This is very similar to my response to Shiva, but there is a different

feeling to Kali. Maybe this is because I relate to her as a woman. But

even now I have a warm and electric sort of feeling inside. There are

ways in which only a mother can love you. Jai Om Kali
