Swami came to Sai Ramesh hall at 8:10 Am in the Golf Car, and he walked through Ladies and spoke to few ladies. From VIP block he again got into the Car and upto the stage Swami was moving in the car Blessing the devotees with his Both Hands. He got down from the car near students block then Swami went to stage and sat on the Chair for 5 mins hearing the Bhajans, after 3 mins Swami took Aarathy and went into Trayee Mandir. Swami gave Darshan for about 15-25 mins. Jai Sai Ram --- ----------- Posted on: Mon, 30 Jun 2003 10:32:42 +0530 (IST) SaiRam All: Yesterday (29th June) there was shower of Blessings, Bliss and Joy in Brindavan. Brindavan was full to the hilt and people were eagerly waiting for Bhagawan to emerge from Trayee. This day Bhagawan wanted to test our patience. HE delayed the darshan. As we were seated guessing, the sweet music filled the air at 7:55am soon followed by Omkar and Bhajan. Swamy drove in the golf cart as HE did on Thursday. HE got down near the front row of ladies and walked through that row and then to the middle row. Talked to the students and others. HE created vibhuthi for some people. HE continued to walk with the golf cart following at a distance. Mid way through the middle path Swamy got into the cart again seemingly reluctantly! It was very cute as the Divine was persuaded to get in and give Darshan from the vehicle! Then at the edge of the Hall, Swamy asked for the foot stool to alight the vehicle. There were large number of devotees assembled below as well. Swamy walked a few steps till the stairs, turned to all the devotees sitting there and blessed with both hands upraised. HE spent some time looking at all of us. Swamy filled us with bliss and eyes moistened when I thought that amidst such pain HE is conferring bliss on us through HIS physical body. Swamy turned left to go over to the other aisle on the gents' side. HE would walk. But again, HE was persuaded to sit in the cart and I must say the cart drove slower today compared to Thursday, must be at Bhagawan's insistence! Reaching the front row again, Swamy alighted and walked slowly to the steps and got up the stage. HE sat for a few minutes listening to the Bhajans and then got up. Aarati was given and Swamy got down the stage and boarded the cart again. At this point the people at the back of the hall got up as well and we couldn't see Swamy for a while till HE came out of the hall and drove to Trayee. Let us pray for the swift recovery of HIS physical frame for HIS sake. Let us tell HIM to distribute HIS pain to all of us and also pray for the strength to bear it. Jai Sai Ram. At The Lotus Feet. -- :-) ramesh k. sistla --- ----------- Posted on: Sun, 29 Jun 2003 18:37:56 +0530 We were in out places before 6.30 this morning and the Ashram was crowded out. The newspapers had announced that Swami was giving Darshan on Thursday and Sunday, so it looked outside, as if half Bangalore's population had turned up to see Him and gain His blessings. Could it possibly be that this morning's Darshan was even more moving and wonderful than the last one? Hard to believe, but that is how I felt to me because Swami was overflowing with such love in a way that made one feel that He was just as thrilled and ecstatically happy to see His devotees as e were to see Him. He could hardly wait to get out of the golf-cart when it reached the entrance, and immediately spoke to the lady on the end of the bench, made her vibhuti and blessed her. Then walking in holding the hand of the same young man (could be Sathyajit) but clearly not leaning heavily on it, He took some more steps and began talking to more people, as if they meant so much to Him, which of course they DO - His whole creation does! He took letters and had to pass them to the young man who relayed them to Dr. Padmanaban, who walked a little behind Him as he did on Thursday, so soon after being healed of the heart attack he had. He like Swami has lost a little weight. The other attendent for letters was there and the Policemen crouching down like Hanuman. Swami was really chatting to this one and that one and making a lot of Vibhuti. He turned the corner and walled as far as the third men's block before He climbed into the cart again and very, very slowly, drove down the rest of the central aisle, often waving both hands which were raised in blessing to the devotees to the right and left of Him as He went. Again He alighted at the end of the aisle and He walked halfway along the back clock, giving blessing to the crowd outside, and speaking to devotees and taking more letter, as well as materialising Vibhuti. Back in the cart again it finished the back aisle and turned to go down to the front, quite slowly, while all the while the Bhajans rang out with joy but there were many tears wiped away at the sight of the Lord making such great sacrifices to give everyone the blessings they longed for. He had told the doctors, when they were going to operate, "You can do anything you like with this body, I shall not be worried," and I think when devotees see Him climbing in and out and walking, they are sometimes suffering on His account, but Swami IS NOT WORRIED, we have to remember He is not body conscious as most humans are. When Swami reached the bottom corner He got down and walked to the lift to ascend to the Dais and signalled Dr.Padmanaban to come with Him, so he swiftly ascended the stairs. Swami then took his hand and walked forward and up the two shallow steps and continued to His chair, His eyes sparkling as He then sat down in His accustomed place, looking glorious and radiant, to conduct the Bhajans. He was smiling broadly much of the time and also acknowledged some unseen being(s) with a change of expression. After several more Bhajans He rose to receive the Aarathi as there would be no afternoon Darshan and therefore brought the Bhajans to a close. He walked forward easily and down the two steps on the other side of the Dais, which was not so lavishly decorated this morning as on Thursday, and stood waiting for the lift on that side to take Him down, while the cart came along to coincide, but Swami did not get into it, He walked along to the corner, again talking to people and taking letters. Not until He reached the corner did He climb in for the third time in our presence and drive slowly out. Everyone was silent, for we had finished the Lokasamastha Sukino Bhavantu mantra. The cart today made a sweeping turn and headed back towards Trayee Brindavan. We felt very happy and very satisfied. It is not known when exactly Swami will return to Puttaparthi but it seems that He has told someone He will be there for Ekadasi - in about ten days' time - meanwhile there will be Darshan on Thursday and Sunday if He is still here. We are of course very happy to know He will be here for a little longer at least. Deirdre --- ----------- Forwarded by saipapu Dear Sai brothers and sisters, Though I enjoyed the Darshan details of last Thursday I could not have it on that day. What a transformation today. I was fortunate to have Swami's Darshan today due to the Lord's grace. Due to VIPs being present Swami entered Sai Ramesh hall in the cozy golf cart at exactly 8.00.A.m. Swami got down from the cart at the entrance and walked a few yards towards VIP block and spoke to some persons, took letters and gave Vibhuthi to one person. Swami kept all the devotees very happy and many in the hall were crying seeing Baba including me. At the instance of Dr. Padmanabhan he again got into the golf cart but he again got down to give darshan to devotees outside the Sai Ramesh hall and He was blessing all the time with Abhaya hastam and what a divine sight it was. All our discomfort sitting for nearly 2 hours vanished after seeing Swami. Swami again went around in the golf cart and went up the dais and sat in his glorious Chair and stayed for 2 bhajans and then took Harathi and left. We have news that until he goes to Prasanthi Nilayam later next month he will give darsan every Thursday and Sunday only in the mornings. He does not look sick or ill and he was radiant in his smile in the Darshan. A glorious Sunday morning for everybody. Let us all pray for his early recovery. Sairam. gowra ========== g.sugunakar --- ----------- Forwarded by Sanjeeth Shetty Thursday, June 26, 2003 7:05 PM Today's experience with Swami Today Swami called some of the medical camp boys and waiting boys for an interview, I was fortunate to be one among them. I cannot describe everything in detail as it was very long one. Initially warden sir told that HE would call us at 10.30, later it was changed to 2.00 pm. So today bunked office till evening. He called us at 1.30. We went inside Trayee . He came down with the help of Sathya. After he came, he immediately asked lunch to be served. PL don't ask me the menu. It was too good. We were told by warden not to have lunch so we were well prepared to attack it. The best part is that warden sir served us the 'stuff' along with other students. There were waiting boys too. Of course WS, SV Giri, GV , Chakravarti and CS were also there. I can't call it a personal interview, but it was much more closer than the usual trayee session. After the high tea, Swami asked us to go to the main hall. We had this lunch in the centre hall, all were seated in concentric circles. There in main hall, he asked what we were doing after the studies. This followed an informal discourse for about 30 minutes or more He said the following things 1. Respect parents and serve them 2. Do not be worried if you don't get a job, don't waste time, keep doing something at home. I will see that you will get a job 3. At job, have full concentration. Don't do it for doing sake. You must excel in it. 4. Students must yearn for good name now. and this will come from good work 5. Uphold Sathya and Dharma and it will take care of the world. 6. Life is a challenge meet it. Don't be afraid of pain, just ignore it and face the difficulties in life. Think that it is for you own good. Here he gave his example. Many people are thinking that he is fine. He is not. He is having extreme pain but he is controlling it. When he said this, many boys later told that they felt a shiver in his voice. He asked the surgeon who did the operation, to speak . He told how they did the operation (both hip and eye). Swami said that 7 years back while using hair dryer, he got a shock in his left eye and it got burnt. He didn't care about it. Infact he said it was his mistake. Now after C Srinivas compelled, he went and got this operation also done. Now he can see with both eyes.!!!! He told this to illustrate that how he has faced the pain all these years. After this, we waited for him to go upstairs. Thereafter we went to warden sirs room and he was very happy that we got this chance. we took a group photo in Trayee garden also with Warden sir and Sanjay Sahani sir. After that i left for office. I am going inside Trayee after 5 years and it brought back old memories. Please send it to others also Sairam --- ----------- Sairam to all brothers & sisters, We were fortunate to have Swami's Darshan this (Thursday) morning at Brindavan. It is amazing how the word spreads as the whole Sai Ramesh hall and beyond was chock-a -block with devotess despite it being a working day. Swami had agreed, graciously, to bestow His Darshan to all devotees along with a special session for the two hundred odd devotees from the US, who had prepared a big program to be staged for Him in the Kalyana Mantap. Swami came out in the electric buggy at around 7.20 a.m. and alighted after the buggy entered the ladies side. All devotees had tears (of relief and bhakti) in their eyes seeing Swami walking unaided for about 25 metres into the centre aisle and a few metres further, all the time blessing the devotees with raised hands. He looked blissful and was smiling broadly all the time. He then got back into the buggy and continued His usual darshan round. He was waving His hand and acknowledging the devotion of all present. It was wonderful to see the Lord after such a long gap, and also to see Him physically alright, though it will be some more time before He would walk fully round, it seemed. He got down again at the front (on the right side of the gents block) and walked in front of the bhajan singers, blessing and chatting with some. He then accepted Arathi at the centre and walked up further to the end of the ladies block before getting into the buggy and going out of the hall. The devotees were extremely excited and the sevadal had a tough time making them sit in their place. Hundreds got up in their anxiety to have a closer look at Bhagawan. Swami ordered prasadam to be distributed to all devotees at the end. It was indeed a festive occasion and a great blessing for all present. Jai Sairam, Madhu & Latha Bangalore Posted by Surya Prasad on 27 June 2003 13:02 --- ----------- K V Naresh Posted: Thu, 26 Jun 2003 21:21:05 -0700 (PDT) Sairam Brothers, Swami Granted Interview to all Old boys, My room mate is also a Old student he is also fortunate to be there for Interview. For all of us he wrote about the happenings in the interview room and gave to me . I am sending the same. Trayee Brindavan 26-06-03 At 1:30 pm the old students doing service activities in B'lore and just passed students along with waiting boys were asked by Bhagawan to join him for snacks ( Tiffin ) at Trayee Brindavan Swami came down from his room at 1:45pm and told all of us seated in the Round hall along with Vice chancellor, Mr. Chakravarthy, C.Srinivas, Chennai Srinivas and other VIP's to form 2 circles, one small and one big, so that it becomes easier to serve food and also have it. The food served was more like any lunch session rather than a snack or Tiffin , Swami instructed us to chant "Brahma Arpanam", while all of us were having food like any mother does Swami was watching each and everyone having their food. After the food session at 2:30 pm Swami said "Go and sit in the Hall (Jhoola Room) I will speak to you. Swami during his Speech touched and stressed on Gratitude to Parents and Humility. Swami narrated an incident in Ramayana, saying never aspire for authority as it will make you suppress the innocent and make you commit more sins. Swami said never care for your body, "you should not be a slave of your body, the body should be your slave ". Don't waste time sitting at home, even if you are without jobs help your mother in the house or your father .Never never waste time. When ever you get time do some service activity to the needy and poor by taking the help of others .Swami also stressed on self-confidence by narrating incidents from the life of Abraham Lincoln. Swami speaking about himself said "This body is pure from Top to Toe as I can tell you I have done only good to every one right from my childhood, therefore every part of my body is pure. The age of this body is 78, due to the incident the hip had broken and bone had become into pieces, because of age it cannot become normal without operation. Gone is gone so removed it, what was happened has happened for our good and this is a good experience for you all too. The bones were removed and steel rods were inserted .Swami said, before entering the operation theatre I told to doctors "This is not my body, do what ever you want to do with it". After 3 hrs of operation, Swami Came out smiling and everyone around were surprised. Swami told us smiling when you are in pain is Greatness; the pain is only for the body. Swami said "I am divinity in Humanity" if I express my pain I m like any human. The most touching words of Swami were " This Body has come for you all and it is your Responsibility to take care of this Body" Swami narrating about his left eye said "I dry my hair with electric hair dryer, 7 years back, while doing this power went off and power came suddenly at that time the dryer was near my left eye and due to the electric shock, the eye had burnt and I could not see. C.srinivas at that time itself requested me for an operation, but I rejected it, Swami also said it was my mistake of keeping dryer near my eye. Now during operating my hip the eye operation too was performed in 2 mins and the doctors saw the lens it had turned like a dark charcoal, "due to the operation now I am able to see you all and derive happiness. Swami then told Mr. Sundareshan, the orthopedic Surgeon who had performed the operation to Bhagawan to speak to us on the incident. Mr. sundereshan said " Swami had broken his hip and stayed like that for 18 hrs ,which is not possible for any human being to resist " Swami had started walking after 5 days of the operation which is also impossible for any human being. As Swami said " This body is yours and it is our responsibility to take care of this body, we should pray that he takes rest At 3:30 pm aarathi was given and Swami left the hall blessing all of us. Jai Sai Ram --- ----------- News From Brindavan Sai Ram It is impossible to convey to you the fullness of joy of this morning's Darshan. The Sai Ramesh Hall was perfectly organized to receive Swami for the first time after 23 days, and there was an air of deep happiness and expectancy as we sat there awaiting the beginning of the OMs and Bhajans which would herald His arrival. In the hall, bedecked with small flags, the floral decorations on the dais vied with any festival in their plentiful display of great beauty, really befitting this auspicious occasion, but three weeks exactly from the day of Swami's major operation on His hip and eye operation performed the same day. There was no carpet and the aisles were wide enough for the small electric car to drive along carrying it's Beloved Passenger for all to see. Many people had gone to the Kalyana Mandap where the American group was to give a performance this morning, this also meant less pressure on the available space in the Sai Ramesh Hall. Swami would go there after Darshan. At last the music began and the OMs resounded with real feeling and enthusiasm even more than usual, before the first Bhajan began. Soon the little electric car came in sight with our radiant BHAGAVAN sitting beside the elderly driver and with Dr Sundaresh walking behind. Dr Padmanaban was close at hand and the other attendant who usually follows Swami when he collects so many letters. There were also the policemen and one other younger man, whom I didn't recognize, perhaps a doctor. The buggy came to the entrance and drove just inside, We all expected it to continue, but no, Swami made them stop, and small platform was put down for Him - out He stepped, supported by the young man (Dr.?), who took Swami's right hand. Swami began to walk forward as He usually does between the first and second blocks of women, holding the protective hand. He bent to speak to some women on the other side, just in He accustomed way, He looked SO BEAUTIFUL, a little frail and even thinner than usual but His eyes were so bright, and it was good to know that He could see clearly with both of them. I was third row in the hospital block and Swami walked slowly past us, hesitating now and then to let go the right hand to give Abhaya Hasta and to wave to everyone, really showering bliss as only He can. He walked to the corner and turned right into the central aisle, again speaking to one or two people, blessing and waving His sweet hand. About half-way along the side of our block there was a little consultation and Swami was persuaded to get into the car again. He proceeded thus, very slowly to the end of the Hall waving and blessing all on each side. Then the car turned left behind the men, and He greeted the people outside. Moving a little faster now Swami progressed down the side of the men's blocks and when He got to the aisle leading straight to the exit, there was a hesitation, but Swami directed them to go to the front. At the front corner He again alighted to walk in front of the Bhajan singers who were the main occupants of the front blocks this morning. He looked more relaxed now and very, very happy and really walked quite quickly along to the centre. There, two young men were waiting with the rose and the Aarathi, which Swami received and we all sang with great feeling as He continued to walk in front of the women. The car followed close behind. At the corner Swami again took his seat beside the driver and they drove along to the exit where they turned to the left and I could not see where He went, because many people got up to look over the railing, drawn by His magnetic LOVE, but I imagine He drove down the side outside to bless those crowds before entering the Kalyana Mandap for the morning's programme. I then slowly left, letting the crowds go ahead, everyone was elated. It was like a wonderful festival, a great triumph over the body, Swami came out on top in all His Glory. Someone said, "Why did Swami walk like that and put Himself to so much trouble, but I think that kind of negative thought, although caring for Swami's welfare, is putting limits on Him which He does not accept. He must be allowed to do what He knows He can do, though of course His compassion for the doctors, who are so devoted to Him, would make Him acquiesce in certain matters and it is clear that He obeyed their wish that He should rest for three weeks before going out to the public, otherwise this might have taken place a week ago. I do not yet know whether there will be Darshan tomorrow, or only on Sunday - I shall find out. It is not clear when He will return to Puttaparthi, some still say on Sunday, but others say the doctors wish Him to stay until after Guru Poornima on July 13. It is certainly more restful for Him to be here. We have to wait and see. He has been out at least twice in the car and drove in and out of the General Hospital, He also went to the Super Speciality and the car waited for no attendant, no one was expecting a divine visitation and so He drove away. Some people have had beautiful car Darshans and Dr. Sundaresh has been blessed with sitting in the front of His car. What and incredible gift of LOVE! JAI JAI JAI SAIRAM! I have now heard that those who were in the Kalyana Mandap could see Swami well in His car where He sat throughout the performance, blessing all who were present. Bhagavan was very happy with the presentation and materialized a gold chain and locket for one of the participants. There will be another performance tomorrow and Swami will give Darshan tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday morning, but not in the afternoon (I'm not sure about Sunday, because of the Bhajans). Perhaps He will return to Parthi after that, unlikely on Sunday itself, because of the new moon, more likely Monday. We have to wait and see - trust His uncertainty! With love and joy to all, Deirdre Posted: Thu, 26 Jun 2003 14:59:05 -0700 (PDT)
