Sathya Sai Multi Specialty Eye Hospital [ A Unit of Sathya Sai

Charitable Trust (Regd.)] was inaugarated on 16th of January 2003

with a purpose of providing free medical and surgical treatment for

under previlaged or people hailing from economically lower section

of society, by reinvesting the profits generated from its business

operations. The hospital is fully equipped with all modern amenities

and infrastructure. The hospital has conducted free surgeries in

connection with eye to enormous number of poor people till now.

 

The hospital has different departments like Skin, Medicine,

Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Surgery, ENT, Dental & Obstetrics and

Gynaecology, where veteran doctors who are devotees of Sri Bhagwan

Sathya Sai Baba are invited to work on a rotation basis for a

specified period of time, the invitation being open to one and all

service minded doctors from all over the world. The Sathya Sai

Charitable Trust has made facilities to provide for food and

accommodation to those doctors who respond to the invitation, free

of cost.

 

The hospital also conducts free eye check up camps on the first

Sunday of every month between 9 am to 1 pm at the hospital, in order

to provide free health care benefits to the needy patients. The

hospital is also conducting free eye check up camps in the rural

areas of the Udupi districts. People hailing from all section of

society can avail benifits from this camp.

 

Starting from the 23rd November 2003, the birthday of Bhagwan Sri

Sathya Sai Baba, the hospital shall function on a totally free basis

for the patients hailing from all sections of the society. In order

to accomplish this noble purpose our hospital would incur a monthly

expense exceeding an amount of Rupees 365,000. (US Dollors 7,500).

Also to upgrade the infrastructure and convert this hospital into a

vitreo retinal center a estimated amount of Rupees 2 Crore (US

Dollors 400,000) is required. Hence the management is seeking

support from aspirant donors to support its noble purpose.
