Events at Prashanthi Nilayam

04 SEP 2003

Today was the idol immersion day. All the Vinayaka Idols from

various institutions were brought in a procession to Sai Kulwant

Hall at 3.20 pm.

The students were dressed in colorful attires. All the idols were

kept in a row facing the dais and spilled over to 4 idols facing the

Poornachandra hall gate from the Gents side.

Swami came in the golf cart at 3.40 pm and slowly the cart was taken

in the usual Darshan route of swami. Swami was looking very fresh

and He was showering His blessings not only to the students but also

to the general devotees en route.

Students were singing devotional Ganesha Songs over the mic during

this time. A group of boys were also playing on nadaswaram and

saxophone which actually drowned the Devotional Songs sung by the

Students group.

Swami's cart left Sai Kulwant Hall at 4.40 pm.

Managala Aarathi was performed immediately thereafter.

Immediately, at 4.45 pm, Swami went out in His white car through the

Ganesh gate at 4.45 pm and returned through the Culvert gate at 5.15

pm and went back to His residence.

Evening Bhajans were held as usual from 5 pm to 5.30 pm.
