Meaning

 

This is a prayer to Rama who descended from the same lineage as the

Sun; He is the son of Dasaratha; a delight for Kausalya, his mother,

a beloved treasure of Viswamitra (Guru).

"What then is the essence of Sankeerthana? Its essential purpose is

to earn the love of God. Combining one's voice, tune, feeling and
