(for some new building, I guess) and came and sat in the sofa. The Band was

playing Sai Bhajans very nicely meanwhile! The secretaries of Muddannahalli and

Alike gave speeches one by one tracing the history of these institutions and

how at every stage they got the help from Swami. This was followed by three

students from these institutions speaking, first in English, second in Kannada

and third in English again. Then on the request of the secretaries of

Muddannahalli and Alike Swami got up to speak.

Anil Kumar got ready by the side of Him. Swami started speaking in Kannada

fluently and Anil Kumar was standing as a silent spectator almost throughout

the speech which lasted nearly 50 minutes. Only towards the end five minutes he

sat down on the floor nearby! Swami stressed again on the love in this speech

also. There was no translation. At the end of the speech, sweets were

distributed and the Swami sat after the Mangala Aarathi for nearly 15 minutes

listening to the Band playing Bhajans! He left at around 10:15 a.m..AfternoonIn

the afternoon, Swami came at 3:40 p.m. After a brief chanting of Vedas by the

boys as usual, this time it was the boys from Muddannahalli and Alike, the

cultural programs started. There were three dance programs, with traditional

village style dancing by the boys. The third one was “Yaksha Ganam”

(traditional village musical drama similar to Kathakali of Kerala,

usually played in coastal Karnataka) on Krishnavatar till Kamsa getting killed

by Krishna. The Alike boys did it beautifully, but it was a little long,

lasting for almost 75 minutes. Mangala Aarathi was performed at 5:10 p.m. and

swami left at 5:15p.m.Tomorrow morning there will be cultural program at 7:00

a.m. by the Muddannahalli boys entitled “Ashtavatar”.
