Shirdi Sai Samadhi question

Sai Ram my dear brothers & sisters,

 

the photos of Shirdi Sai Samadhi are beautiful.

could anyone please explain what it actually is and where it is

located? what does "samadhi" mean?

Sai Ram Scarlett, You've probably already gotten an answer on this,

but I'll make an attempt. When a saint is finished with the body and

leaves it, this is sometimes described as "taking Samadhi" in a

permanent sense. So Shirdi Sai's body which is in the Shirdi Mandir is

the physical representation of that Samadhi (bear in mind there are some

accounts of Shirdi's body turning to flowers upon disagreements that

arose between Hindus and Muslims as to how the body would be handled -

hopefully other members will clarify this). Samadhi is also the final

stage of yoga in which any practitioner that follows the prescribed

steps, experiences the bliss of realization that the individual is
