Guest guest Posted November 7, 2004 Report Share Posted November 7, 2004 CJ calls for ending anomalies in implementation of Constitution JABALPUR: An informative and impressive seminar on `Constitution, Law and Human Values' was organised under the auspices of Shri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation at Silver Jubilee Hall of Madhya Pradesh High Court bar Association. A large number of advocates, Judges and other elite of the city marked the presence on the occasion. Nimish Pandiya and Kamla Pandiya, eminent advocates of the Mumbai high Court, participated in the seminar. Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court RV Raveendran was the Chief Guest of the function. Speaking on the occasion Chief Justice Raveendran said that the Constitution makers of the country perhaps never thought that it will have to face several anomalies and odds in political, social and economic lives in the present set up of society. In fact, when the Constitution was framed, only the responsibilities to enact and implement it for bringing betterment of society and novel changes, that will improve the socio-economic life of the country, were considered. But, subsequently, the duties which were also correlated to the Constitution, were not heeded well. The chief Justice further pointed out that there are now flaws in the Constitution but its implementation in the country is not proper. During its implementation, some anomalies occurred which hoes against the very aims and objectives of it and thus generate several disputes and cause dissatisfaction and discontentment amongst the masses, he further said. Raveendran said that at present corruption in every walk of life is raising ugly head but nobody, howsoever great may be, only raises voice to root out this evil from the society. Only they are delighted in saying that corruption is spreading but unless, leaving he selfish design are made this malady could not be wiped out. He said that as citizens are very conscious about he rights they have been given by the Constitution they must also be more conscious about their duties which are related to the the Constitution. Eminent advocate Nimish Pandiya and Kamla Pandiya stressed on individual contribution, They said that individuals must contribute their might in correcting the various ills which corrupting the society. They said that individual character plays a pivotal role in maintaining the society. In fact, teachers, Judges and advocates can also play a vital role in bringing the society to the expectation of the masses. Justice Deepka Mishra, Justice AK Shriwastav, Justice NK Modi and other were present on the occasion.
