Guest guest
Sairam..My humble salutations at the Lotus Feet. My name is Arun, I just moved to Colorado from India a few months ago. I completed my school in a Sai Curriculum ( Sri Satya Sai Vidya Peeth, Sri Sailam, Kerala ) in 1988 .. Then went on to pursue Engg in Manipal, My life took me through different twists and turns and I have felt the presence of Baba at the toughest of times and sometimes opening unimaginable gates that changed my life forever with some instances after merely uttering a prayer to Swami. The reason for writing this is the frequent questions people have about devotion and the recent media batter on CNN against Swami.( I haven't seen it yet, but my faith wont be troubled even if i watched anything or read anything.) I would not hate people who have still not realised, its understandable that the cycle of karma is so strong that the role of an avatar can only be to make thier presence felt and it would take more than just realisation to understand how blessed we are to have a chance in our life time that Swami chose to be here in a human form during our life time. Heres my story. This is not a story of miracles of Swami in the immediate matter form, but a miracle which is so evident and real for anyone to simply experience.... Harsha an old friend from Manipal was an outspoken non-beleiver of Baba. On one of the heated conversations between him and some devotees at restaurant he clearly had explanations for every thing. After a while a waiter at the coffee shop who overheard everything that Harsha had to say, humbly came up to the table and said " Harsha Sir, you must not talk about my beloved lord in that manner." taken aback by the softest confrontation from such an unexpected quarter. he cooled down and ask him. " What do you mean?" The waiter started his story. " A couple of years ago we were blessed with a baby after many years of marraige and yearning for a child. The baby was however diagnosed with an acute heart problem which required an open heart surgery. there was no way i could raise that kind of money." ((( insurance and "health care" as it is glorified is beyond anyones reach, It pretty understandable as even here in the United States its beyond the reach of a seizable population today))) the story continues.... "One of my friends then mentioned of Swami so we travelled to Puttaparti. After the darshan we were suddenly filled with renewed hope. We were directed to the superspeciality hospital, where my baby was operated upon. We were given a place to stay during this period and all this was done for FREE at no cost whatsoever, and no favors in return either." The waiter paused to clear his throat, wipe his tear and gather composure. "My son has started school this year and plays around like any other child today." the waiter continued " I was not even a devotee of Swami, but such a huge blessing was bestowed upon me and my family. So Harsha Sir, even if you dont beleive in Him I understand thats the time that you are going through. But please understand I did not mean to offend you, I was simply hurt by the trite and abuse of my Lord" Touched by this very down to earth, and humble man's story Harsha just got up and hugged him and apologised. Harsha today is a very very changed person. I met him before I moved here. He related this story to me. He also says he understands not just life now but things before and after life. ... every soul has a right to doubt, explore and investigate. All Baba teaches us is to selflessly love, treat our mind, body, soul and fellow beings well. Like all avatars before him, who have taken the human physical form. It only natural for allegations, trites and abuses from vested interests. Its true that a drop of venom can poison a huge pale of nectar. How much of nectar would it take to nuetralise the venom? Aren't we truly blessed to have taken refuge at the lotus feet. I hope this simple story can help any thinking person find some solace.
