Guest guest Posted November 28, 2004 Report Share Posted November 28, 2004 Medical camp organised at Marad "newindpress.com" Kerala Monday November 29 2004 12:31 IST KOZHIKODE: In a major initiative aimed at promoting communal and social harmony in trouble-torn Marad, the district unit of Sree Sathyasai Seva Sanghatana on Sunday organised a free medical camp in the village. 854 persons, hailing from both the communities, turned up to attend the camp. About 24 doctors made available their services for the programme. Medicines were also provided free of cost at the camp. This is for the first time that a voluntary organisation is conducting a programme for the well being of the villagers after the second bout of communal carnage in Marad. Around 150 activists of the organisation were also present on the occasion. State coordinator K.P. Ramachandran led the camp. Malabar Chamber of Commerce president Kunhimohammed inaugurated it. K.T.
