I am asking all Sai devotees to pray for this country of Guyana as it is presently in crisis due to excessive rainfall.Almost the entire coastland where the majority of the inhabitants live is under water.Two people have died so far and many have been forced to abandon their homes.Guyana is situated below sea level and is an agricultural country.Crops and livestock have been lost.The total population here is about half million and right now there is a critical shortage of drinking water,food, milk, matresses, blankets, medicines, water pumps, etc. The Sathya Sai Organization here was the first to respond to the needs of those who are affected by sending out cooked food to them but the Organization needs help. The last time this country had a serious flooding was in 1933 but this rainfall has broken the records by precipitating 48.1 inches of rainfall so far. Guyana has received help from several countries such as: the U.S.A.,BRAZIL ,the E.U., VENEZUELA, CUBA during the great flood here.All of this is due to your prayers to Swamiji for us in this country. There was an unprecedented 50.8 inches of rainfall but the rain is less now.The water is beginning to drain off but some houses are still covered with water.Almost the whole country is flooded. On behalf of all the inhabitants of this country, I thank Swamiji for his mercy and compassion first of all.I also thank all of you internationally for your help and prayers.Om Sai Ram.
