Dear Sai Brothers and Sisters,

SAI RAM. Let Bhagawan's Love be with one and all

always.

In July 1995, Bhagawan was giving Darshan in Prasanthi

Mandir when He suddenly stopped before a very old

Woman sitting in the Darshan, Swami looked at her for

a very long time and then said in Telugu " You are

from Venkatagiri"?, The Old Woman nodded and Swami

told her to take Namaskar and then after Bhagawan

passed her , Swami Suddenly turned came back and Said

again in Telugu " You have never forgotten about the

Jewels, Have You?,", The Very Old Woman only smiled

and Swami gave his dazzling smile and walked away.

This might be an everyday occurance in Darshan

everyday at Prasanthi Nilayam, What made this

conversation special was Swami mentioning the Word

"Venkatagiri". The Old Woman's name is Vaidehiamma.

She is no more now, She died clutching Swami's Picture

which Bhagawan had given her. She told me once in

tears that Bhagawan had "Shown her the World". This is

a unique experience never to be forgotten by anyone

who have heard it, who will hear it, and never

forgotten till her last breath by the Woman who

exoerienced it.

In the Summer of 1965, Bhagawan was in Venkatagiri for

an unusually long time , One Friday evening Bhagawan

and everyone was immersed in the Divine melodies of

Ram and Lakshman, the two singers who sang for

Bhagawan at that time, After Bhajan's were over

Bhagawan turned to The Raja of Venkatagiri and asked

him that whether it would be possible to see the

palace jewels. The Raja immediately consented and

Bhgawan with about 20 people went down into the rooms

where the jewels were kept which were about 10 rooms

at the basement of the palace where Bhagawan was

staying, The Jewels not kept in Glass Cases but in

Shelves which were locked, Security was not needed

because Nobody was allowed to see the jewels and also

for that time because Bhagawan wanted to see them.

After about 1 hour when Bhagawan had seen everything

and explained about them to everyone, Swami returned

and as a dance recital followed, After a unusually

long time of about 40 minutes the Raja came up and sat

in a corner, After the programme, Swami called the

Raja and after enquiring of the Next days programme,

suddenly asked as what had happened, The Raja feigned

ignorance, Swami persisted with his questioning, The

Raja relented and said that Small Pearl was missing,

Swami then asked whether it was missing during his

tour downstairs, The Raja was getting uncomfortable

with Swami's questioning then said that It did not

matter as that jewel was not important anymore, Swami

said "Responsibility is the most important quality

that every human being should inculcate" and then said

that he took personal responsibility for what had

happened and said that if the pearl was not found he

would pay the Equivalent of Rs.30 Lakhs (In 1965)to

the Raja, Inspite of the Raja's vehement pleading

Bhagawan retired for the day.

The Next day as Bhagawan sat for the evening Bhajan's

He came up straight to a lady of around 56 years and

asked her "Bangaru (Gold), If You have needed money I

would have given you anything in the world, Never make

the Mistake you made yesterday", The Woman did not

move, Swami waited for a few minutes and then told the

Woman to get up and led her to an adjoining Room and

was with her was around 3 minutes, When the lady came

back first she was more dazed than in tears, Bhagawan

came back with the pearl and said to the Raja that he

should promise him that nothing should be done to her

and she should continue working in the palace as

before, Incidentally that was where she died at the

age of 95.

In 1994, She told me that when Swami had taken her

inside he politely enquired about the pearl, She took

it from a fold in her sari and gave it to Swami, Swami

then held up his hand and said "Choodu"(Look), and

before her eyes in the Lord's hand she saw the

incident where she was slipping the ring played before

her eyes , As she wept Bhagawan said in telugu

"Everything is in my hand, Everything, Whatever

happens in this world and beyond is because of this

and this only ", Swami gave her Rs.10000/- and told

her never to steal again.

This lady stayed all her life in Venkatagiri, She

never Moved out of the palace, She visited Parthi only

once as she left that she did not have many more years

to live, She died a few months after Bhagawan spoke to

her.

Many might ask the question As to why did Bhagawan

reveal himself to a thief ? But the Thief became a

noble soul and did not steal again. That is the moral

of this incident, Swami changes lives of people

through his ways, In this case he revelead the World

to a thief for her to become a noble soul.

Hope everyone will draw inspiration from this leela of

Bhagawan.
