Guest guest
Service Projects http://www.saicast.org/serviceprojects.htm Chennai Water Project For decades Chennai was a city without water, many forced to three jugs of water per family, filled from trucks which transported sadly limited supplies to the people. Sathya Sai Baba promised to bring water to the community, and the sparkling flood filled the canal on November 27, 2004, Baba's birthday according to the Hindu calendar. 350kb 100kb 20kb .. Distress and Relief:The Story of the Sathya Sai Baba Water Project One of Sathya Sai Baba's greatest service projects has been his amazing on-going project to supply fresh drinking water to over 700 remote villages in rural India. The people of these impoverished villages had for many years been without drinkable water until 1995 when Swami began construction on this massive undertaking. This ten-minute film is the story of his wondrous miracle that solved this long-felt need. 350kb 100 kb 20kb Grama Seva,Service to Man is Service to God The students of the Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in Puttaparthi, India have long been known for their fine character and service to fellow man. Guest guest
Sairam brothers & sisters, Wished to share some thoughts about His Projects. We all are aware that Swami's sankalpa in undertaking these projects is, apart from his love towards us, a huge lesson on how to harness nature's bounties and use them for the benefit of all of His creatures. The Avatar's intention is to show us the way, the path. Whilst fulfilling His promise to Mother Easwaramma, Bhagawan is creating model projects for humanity to witness, learn and emulate. See the magnitude of vision in each case, the dedication to details, the perfect planning and organization, the scale of operation, the benefits accruing, the eco-friendliness, the use of best and latest technology, the timeliness and the perfect execution, last but not by any means least - management of funds and resources!!! Each project is a miracle by itself... in this land of mostly inept and corrupt rulers. Each is a perfect example of successful public - private enterprise. Like all of His projects, Swami's Sai Ganga project to provide water to Chennai city is a benchmark for anyone to emulate. Each divine project should serve as an eye-opener to all the ruling governments on how to serve the society and the nation. Are the govts (and all of us individuals) learning from this? That is the major test for all of us. Sai Ganga has solved a portion of the water problem for Chennai. Many other schemes like the Veeranam project, sea water desalination etc. are languishing due to bureaucratic and official apathy, along with political gimmicks aimed at vote gathering. Chennai's water crisis will be fully solved only if innovative, cost effective and timely methods are adopted to solve these problems. Swami has shown the way with the wonderfully conceptualised and executed Sai Ganga. The Andhra government has been magnanimous in permitting the water from there to flow to Chennai. The Andhra people and officials, in this case, have shown exemplary attitude of brotherliness. Why? Because it is Bhagawan's project.. Can all states and people show this attitude in all issues? If we do not, can we call ourselves one nation? Let us ponder on this... The nation will prosper only if we take His lessons to heart and put them to practise.... We, brothers and sisters of the Sai family, have a huge responsibility in taking these forward. Jai Sairam, Madhusudhan
