Guest guest
Aum Sri Sairam: Please read below a media report on the Symposium on Character Education held in Toronto on March 23, 2004 and attended by over 350 people from the community. This was followed by a Four-Day Workshop on Charcter Education and SSEHV conducted by Ms. Carole Alderman, Director, The British Institute of Sathya Sai Education, UK. The Workshop was attended by teachers drawn from the local School Boards and community volunteers who want to teach SSEHV in the community. Participants learned of ways to integrate the universal human values, in their daily programs, through well-planned and balanced lesson plans, which include quotations, silent sitting, song, story, group activities and games. Several teachers from various school districts in the Greater Toronto Area as well as Manitoba and Saskatchewan shared their experiences in implementing character education within their schools across Canada. Every story was inspiring, reminding us that core values inherent in human nature continue to have a universal appeal regardless of race, region or communities involved. http://www.weeklyvoice.com/CNews/?CNewsID=527608 Love.
