Long queue of devotees assembled in front of a small home at Dandia bazaar to witness the rare spectacle and to obtain prasad Rekhaben Kahar, the custodian of the idol, says that she got the idol two days back from a neighbouring home which was being demolished. ‘‘I wanted to the idol to be safe and so I brought it home,’’ said Rekha. >From Thursday night the idol started emmitting sandalwood powder from its eye and leg portions. The powder kept accumulating at the feet of the idol, which surprised the family. People from neighbourhood and through out the city kept coming in after learning about the strange phenomenon.
