Brindavan news -- 21st May '05

SaiRam All,

By 7:40AM, Ramesh Hall was full. I took a seat in the extension

besides the Saraswathi idol. It is absolutely serene. I feel so holy

and sacred. Perhaps the vibrations of the recently concluded Homams

have made the place even more sacred, I think. For the last few days

after the Homams, Swamy has been coming for darshan between 8:00 and

8:30AM. So I budget for about half an hour or so of waiting. It is

wonderful, to sit thus and wait for a glimpse of the Avatar of the

age! The awareness that we are lucky to have that chance comes only

in flashes! There is anticipation, excitement, eager waiting for

That "Love on the move".

I tell my neighbour, the shandlier lining the stage will glow prior

to Swamy's coming, and then the music will start and Swamy will be

here before long. As if to prove me wrong, the music started, 'Hum

ko tumse pyaar kitna.....', the shandlier is not glowing yet!! It

felt nice to be "wronged"! The shandlier is glowing now, but that is

all irrelevant now, the Lord will be here. The music tapers off and

gives way to Omkar. Ganesh vandana starts and is over soon.

Swamy is seen passing the Trayee gate to enter the Ramesh Hall from

behind the stage. HE is on the mobile throne. Soon we see HIM! Oh the

Lovely Lord, still draped in the shawl, enters. Soon hands go up

doing Namaskara. I always felt, this was exhibition of devotion. But

when we see Bhagawan and get overwhelmed by HIS presence, it is a

natural reaction. Bhajans going on.... Swamy is adjusting HIS hair

once.... timing the bhajans... wiping HIS face with the kerchief. HE

must have sat for about 40 minutes or so. As one bhajan was going

on, HE indicated it is time to go. Swamy went back the way HE came.

Aarati was given after the bhajan was completed.

There was a quiet satisfaction as we came out, even if the darshan

was from a great distance. Thank you Swamy!
