Guest guest
Sai Ram to my Sai Family... Well today has been the first Sunday of our prayer group ( or it has pasted for some and is coming up for others ). I'd like to THANK the moderator of this forum for considating the prayer requests into one email ... I found it alot harder to try to round them up than I thought and this was of tremendous to help me. Please don't stop if your don't mind - thanks All those who have posted prayer requests this week ... Please note... that in the future .. please post the NAME of the person that needs prayers, thier LOCATION and thier NEED. It will make it easier for all of us to help out in prayers. All those that have posted or written to me personally .. Please know that you have been included in prayers this Sunday June 12 2005. I have also included everyones name in the various prayer groups and shrines that I write too regularly. These include ... the shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, The shrine of Fatima ( the Virgin Mary ), the shrine of Saint Philomena and the shrine of Saint Theresa the little flower. This is also among several prayer groups including the Self Realization Fellowship. Not too mention that I will write a letter to Swami and mail it regularly to Prasanthi ... Though Swami is Omnipresent in all things .. it is the action that is required on our part as part of the process. I share these so that all those who have asked for prayers in thier need .. BIG OR SMALL ... Please feel deep in your heart that it is being sent, your family is with you and that God hears you. Try to let go of all your worries. God will do the rest. To the Sai Prayer Group .. as time goes on and we refine our prayers and become comfortable with a set of prayers to do regularly .. I would like to talk more about putting togeather a CD or tape of all the prayers ( like Swami doing the Gayatri Mantra ) , songs and then meditative respites so that everyone is on the same page during our prayer days. I hope that everyone is well and may Swami bless everyone always ... Your sister in Sai Melody

Guest guest
Sai Ram, dear gdr, I believe the act of blessing in the Name of our Lord is in itself a form of poweful prayer and that it goes a long way to soothe and strengthen the faithful and to help those in need. Guest guest
Sai Ram, dear Melody, I think what you are doing, all of you in the prayer group, is wonderful. I admire you and encourage you to continue. I have not participated because since you started I have been convalescing with an injury and not able to really focus properly, but are starting to seek in my heart a vocation for prayer that I always had but that lately isn't as strong as I wish it were and that it's being reawakened by your enthusiasm as well as by the love and generosity of all other Sai brothers and sisters involved with this wonderful, beautiful, online prayer group. May Swami's blessings be always with all of you and those you pray for and may he continue to inspire you always. Guest guest
Sairam Sai Sister Melody Thank you for your instructive mail on the points relating to the Prayer group. I would like to add a few in case you find it helpful 1. Firstly you declare a cut off point upto which the Prayers requests are eligible tobe included for the coming Sunday. The requests received there after could be included the next sunday. 2. Publish the list of the requests as a single list in small fonts so that people who wish to take a print out and keep at the Lotus feet of Swami(Photograph)while praying , would find it handy. 3. We may also suggest to the people who make the prayer requests to follow a procedure during the time when the prayer goes on. The best thing that they can do is that they also join the prayer group and pray for all others in the list . Such prayers will be very effective as it is for others. They will feel a lot better in a scenario when others pray for them and they pray for others. 4. Ask people who have been prayed for to share their experience /relief after the prayer to the group. It could be a feed back. We shall all thank Swami for the Grace received by them at the end of each weeks prayer as `Thanks giving ' which is essential in any process . And the cycle completes only when we Thank Swami for all that He has done. There is no hard and fast rule and we are not ritualising the activity as such. But to have an orderly approach facilitates the process. The steps are simple --- With heart full of Love we pray for others - Receive His Grace copiously- And with heart full of Thankfulness we thank Swami . It is just some loud thinking. Thanks for reading upto this line. Om Sai Ram R.Chandrashekar Chheda Nagar Chembur Mumbai India 00-91-9821482711
Guest guest
Sai Ram brother Chandrasekhar, I agree completely with you. and think we must add some Kshmaa prarthana nd thanks giving prarthana. These prayers need not be in Slokas may be in one or two simple sentences. TodayÅ› thought for the day is indicating the same too. we always pray for God only to receive grace from Him but rarely used to thank Him for all He bestowed on us. Kshama and thanks giving prayers are very important. Sai Ram sister Sesha m.d.m. Guest guest
Sai Ram, dear sister Melody, I am a firm believer in the power and goodness of prayer. I know Swami showed you, through His leela, that He was backing your efforts one hundred percent, that He was the Inspirer of this wonderful online prayer group, but when it comes to acting on behalf of another with purity of intention, for the love of Sai and your fellow human beings, as you and the other Sai devotees in this great online prayer group do, you shouldn't entertain any doubts. You are all doing a great service for countless persons and all this good work you do can only be beneficial and helpful in all ways to their lucky recipients. Because you are dedicating it, and its fruits, to Swami, He will be the Divine Administrator of all this goodness and will apply the blessings of your prayers in His Divine Way, therefore, there will be no karma attached to this selfless, beautiful service. Thank you so much for your loving, generous and comforting words. My injury is on my right foot and it is quite painful, but the sweetness of your mail has gone a long way in easing any discomfort, and the fact that you have so generously included me in your prayer lists, has lifted my spirits immensely. Ailments and accidents have plagued me for the last two years. I know Swami is looking after me, but your compassion and love, as well as the soothing and comforting words and good wishes from other Sai devotees in this beautiful, wonderful group as well, have contributed enormously to making me feel less isolated and much loved. My health problems have often prevented me from attending satsang at my Sai Center regularly. This Sai group, so dear to me, has become my "online Sai Center satsang". May Swami bless you all, and your loved ones too, with his sweetest and choicest blessings. Thank you again, sweet Melody, and all my brothers and sisters in Sai in this online group and, especially, in the online prayer group. With much Sai love, Gina saiyeled284 (AT) comcast (DOT) com Sai Ram! Loka Samasthas Sukhino Bhavantu -------------- Original message -------------- Dearest sister Gina, Thank you for the wonderful note. I will now add YOU to the prayer list as you convalesce so that you too can feel the wonderful vibrations and good thoughts come into your life and into your heart through prayers.....
