Such notorious kingdom further became a milestone in the saga by its ruler “Meypporul Nayanar. He was such an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva who always had his heart engaged in saluting “Hara” while his hands did slavery to the ‘Hara’s’ devotees. color:blue;font-weight:bold">He served them as the way they required; ruled the country with law and justice and bringing peace to the country; and on top of all developed devotion among the people and thus brought peace to the minds of the people. Such his ruling not a single enemy was there to rise against him. For him loving the lotus feet of Lord Shiva was the greatest treasure of all and the graceful form of the devotees made him do anything for them. bold;font-style:normal">“Muththa Nathan” font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold"> was a foolish King who made all futile efforts to win Meypporular in the battle-field. When he finally realised that it’s impossible, he tried to take revenge through the rotton smell of crooked ways. He knew that the Meypporular salutes and serves the devotees smeared with holy ash and other great symbols of Lord Shankara. That spineless coward called Muththa Nathan wanted to exploit this superior quality of that devotee. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">He disguised himself as a devotee by smearing ash, with matted hair and a Vedic book in his hand. But inside that book he had a knife, as the darkness coming in the shadow of light. bold">He arrived in the dark night in the palace of Meypporular. Thinking him as a devotee of the Lord Shiva, the guards at many doors on the way permitted him with salutations. When he arrived at the room where the King was sleeping with dreams too of serving the devotees, the personal guard of the King by the name “Thaththan” told him that the King is taking rest and requested him to wait. But Muththa Nathan went ahead saying that he was coming from Himalaya to meet the king. Thaththan couldn't stop him as he was in the form of devotee. The queen who saw him immediately woke up the King. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">Instead of getting angry for being disturbed at his private place, the King bowed down as soon as he saw the form of a devotee. 10.0pt;font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">The cunning bold">Muththa Nathan told him "I have got a rare “Agama” given by your God. So ask your wife to leave and we should be alone". font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">The King with a chaste heart without any suspicious asked his wife to leave, gave him a nice seat, sat over the ground and bowed down. bold">The crooked enemy like opening the book, took the knife and pierced the body of the King. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">Thaththan who doubted Muththa Nathan from the beginning leaped immediately into the room and raised his sword to kill the crooked. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">Even at that moment, Meypporular demonstrated the real quality of a true devotee of the loving Lord and prevented him by saying "Thaththa! He is one among us". font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">Thaththan cried and asked him to order his duty. Meypporular asked him to guard the devotee of the Lord from others till he crosses the frontier. Unable to go against the word of his loving King Thaththan guarded the wicked to the frontier. bold">Meypporular held his breath till Thaththan came back saying that Muththa Nathan crossed the frontier without any trouble. bold">He praised Thaththan for his action and font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold"> advised his Courtmen to uphold the good deed of loving the devotees and respecting the holy symbols of the Lord. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">Such was his truthfulness of Love towards the Lords Devotees. font-family:"Comic Sans MS""> font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:green;font-weight:bold">Let the greatness of Meypporul Nayanar who guarded even the enemy who took his life in a crooked way, merely because he was in the holy form of devotees, fill our mind!!!!! font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:#99CC00;font-weight:bold"> Sai Ram Shivathmika 10.0pt;font-family:Arial"> Attachment: (image/jpeg) image001.jpg [not stored]
