Guest guest
Meeting you in the Darshan line, Swami asks you what your name is and where you come from. You give Him a mundane intro of yourself as if giving to a stranger. After that, He describes to you to the minutest detail, how you perform pooja in your shrine at home, which no one on this mortals land can possibly know other than you. It is then you realize, that He was joking when He asked you who you are. It is true that He was a stranger to you, but you weren't one to Him. ******************************************************************************************* Swami acts as if He is not comfortable speaking in English. The way He speaks it, will not be like one who is pretending not to know English, but will be like one who is genuinely not so proficient in English. Incase you feel the opposite way, you have to agree that He is not so proficient in acting, which, of course can NOT be. And the next moment, He tells you what is there in your mind, proving thus, that His language is indeed the language of heart. Or gives you a tap on your head after which you will understand word-to-word of what He speaks in Telugu, though you do not even know a single word in that language. The verbal mode of communication terribly falls short of the bandwidth required to carry His Love and Wisdom. The above is true not just in the case of English, but in the case of so many other things, with which Swami pretends unfamiliarity. ****************************************************************************************** Microsoft wants a software professional with certain high skill level in certain technologies. You MIGHT become a Microsoftian, though you fall short of their expectations. May be they compromise over their requirement or you make them believe that you meet their requirement. The world of music lovers wants another Mozart. You MIGHT be their next Mozart, though you do not really have a 'Mozart's talent'. May be the world failed to comprehend either what Mozart did or what you did. Sai wants a genuine devotee. You CANNOT become one, even if you fall a zillionth part of an inch short of His expectations. Neither will He compromise on the quality of His devotees, nor can you delude Him into believing you are genuine. ****************************************************************************************** Modesty, I believe, is the first-and-foremost requirement of a devotee. This 'modesty' has an interesting property. The moment you feel you are modest, you no more are. ****************************************************************************************** Swami says, there are three aspects in you. 1) The one others think you are 2) The one you think you are 3) The one you really are The first aspect is known to the world. The second aspect is known to you. The third is known to Swami. ****************************************************************************************** I love claps. I relish fame. I enjoy being called a great soul. I invariably take into consideration what world might think of my actions, before I decide on something. For I do not know, a day will come......... While I am busy dancing my silly steps, in response to the applause from the audience...... suddenly the whole of this panorama with these multitude of characters around me vanishes just like that......... and in the infinite space only two of us remain - me and Swami standing before me. And then He says, "Mmm..... Ippudu cheppu*..." ****************************************************************************************** *Ippudu cheppu = Tell Me now
