An elderly diabetic gentleman is losing his eyesight and needs to have

surgery. He has no insurance or coverage. He has been a devottee of

Swami's for over 25+ years. He is currently in California. Is there

any opthmologist surgeon that anyone knows of who would be willing to do

it free? I know its a lot to ask for but I am putting it out there.

Love,

Joey

Re: [saibabanews] Seva for a Sai family member

Dear Joey Chawla

Sairam. If he is willing to come to India and get treated,I can

provide him free accomodation , bed service and also someone to

accompany him throughout the treatment. All these free. Reg the

treatment charges no idea .But if it is not very complicated and if

he needs financial assistance can look at it.

It would cost a bomb over there in US for this treatment. It would

be a good idea to move him to India and get him treated and send

back if you work out the economics part of it. If you can send the

brief details of the treatment reqd and his family and financial

background it would help to pitch for help from other volunteers as

well.

I leave it to you . But Iam ready.

Sairam!

Dear Joey, if you don't get anyone to operate for free then lets do

one thing. We all contribute for the patient.Am sure we are more

Re: Seva for a Sai family member

Sairam Joey,

If this elderly gentleman is a Green Card Holder or an American

Citizen then he can go to the nearest Social Security Administration

Office and apply for MEDI-CAL Health Insurance.Once that comes

through in a few days,he will be eligible for FREE medical

treatment, including eye surgery. He can also go to any County

Hospital in California and request FREE care. The eligibilty will be

determined by the Hospital Social Worker and Financial Aid

Department.

He can also get FREE treatment at the Ophthalmology Department in

Swami's Super-Specialty Hospital at Puttaparthi.I urge him to write

to the hospital authorities with complete medical details, before

making the trip to India.

Also write a PRAYER LETTER to Bhagawan Baba seeking His Blessings

and Guidance.

Hope this info helps.Good Luck.

In Sai Love and Seva,

Ragu.

Seva for a Sai family member

Dear Brother Joey, AUM Sri sai Ram:

There is a Sai brother who lives in Buffalo, NY who would be happy in assisting

in this cause and his name is Dr. Patel. I'll attempt in making his contact

available to you as I've lost touch with him; however, the Sathya Sai Baba group

of Buffalo, NY would know of him and his humanatarian works.

May God bless him and give him all the help he could get. keep a picture of

Swami by his eyes, if he believe in Swami and the his karma will allowed, his

will experience the divine power of swami.

I did, I wa going blind in one eye. All doctors, from one place to another, gave up on me.

One night I prayed Swami with all my heart, mind and soul. He came to my dream

and say- I know, then he touched my right eye; the next moring, at the doctor

appointment I felt sure and confidente as I never was and told the doctor

that, against what all believed in that Medical center, I wanted to go ahead

with the surgery; I felt strongly about it, strongly through my faith in

Bhagawan, SRI SATHYA SAI BABA, the Avatar of the Cosmic Universe.

He finally accepted to take a chance on me..Today my right eyes sees as good as

the left, actually, better, it has few more grades.

The doctor dont know where I found so much courage, and was a little shocked

with the result of his own surgery.

I told him:-- durint surgery I called upon God to put his divine Hands in your

hands, sou you could not miss.

The doctor told me that his hands were working as they knew what they wer doing

and not once he felt anything was going to be wrong; he wondered also why it

took him so long to do the surgery...I kenw it!

I prayed to Swami and His compassionate heart made it happen for me. Glory to Swami!

Now and for ever................Kavi ~ Om Sai Ram

Thank you for all your responses. Its awesome to have the Sai family support.

There is nothing we cannot do for each other with Swami's guidance! The

elderly gentleman had to have emergency eye surgery and the costs will be

covered by the State. The immediate problem is over. Please pray for his

recovery.
