Guest guest
Sairam, In continuation to what Sai sister Reet told.... on the Significance of the Name Raama and its Power... i recently was in Rameswaram. I was reminded of one episode that Happened at Rameswaram , during Ramayana period. Raama's armies of Divine Monkeys and Bears were busy building the Bridge across to Lanka . One Night Hanuman spotted Lord Raama walking towards the sea alone. Hanumaan never even once left Raama alone those days knowing very well Lord's intense feeling of grief thinking about Seetha Devi and the feeling of disillusion. Hanumaan even feared Raama might jump into the sea in utter sadness...... So quitely Hanumaan followed Lord Raama . Raama went towards the site of bridge Construction . He picked stones and started throwing in to the sea. Raama was getting more curious. seeing this , Hanumaanji couldnot contain His laughter. hearing some laughing sound Raama turned back and saw Hanumaan laughing. Raama politely let out His Doubt to His dear companion Hanuman...my dear Anjaneya howcome ...when you all drop the stones and rocks it floats and i do the same... it sinks.... this is my doubt.. pl clarify. Hanumaan in all Humility prostrated at the Divine Lotus Feet of Lord Raam and said my Beloved Lord ..we drop the stone chanting your name and printing your name. when the very Person named Raam "Dropped" the stone from His Divine Hands , the stone felt ...whereelse could we go having been dropped bythe Divne Hands themselves ??....but to sink into the sea...? Raama felt immensely pleased with the answer and the devotion and wisdom of Hanumaan and hugged Him. There is yet another incident in Uttara Ramayana. To honour the word given by Hanumaan to His Mother Anjanaa Devi to protect a king from being beheaded by Lord Raama , A fierce Battle broke out between Raama's army and Hanumaan. Finally Lord Himself lifted His Gandeeva. Hanumaan made a fort around the king with His Tail and stood in front chanting Raama Naama. The powerful arrows coming from Lord Raama's Bow towards Hanumaan could do no Harm. Instead it dropped as Garlands on the shoulders of Hanumaan !!.
