I am sure our beloved Ma would love it if a lady performs arthi too.....please, my dear fellow devotees, dont put any restrictions on the love we show for our Ma. Let these restrictions, rules and regulations not limit our love to our beloved Sai Ma. Dont bring discrimination between man and woman for showing our love to our Ma. Sairam All, At the end of Christmas Choir Swami allows the choir conductor (usually a woman) give HIM Arathi (Haarathi). I watched this happening consistently from 1992. I also have a pleasant memory of this occasion during Christmas Eve one time. I sat next to the choir conductor on Christmas Eve one time and Swami came (walked) to us at the end of choir and bhajans (sung by choir people), stood in front of us and asked the choir conductor to give HIM Arathi and lit the camphor, asked me to sing Arathi song and then threw the match box to the woman sitting next to me after lighting the camphor. It was so amusing and a lot of fun. It is still a fond memory in my HEART to cherish. As Swami says, SUN, trees and cows don't discriminate between different kinds of people to give what they have, so is the truth with Swami. HE gives Love to ALL and accepts Love from All.
