Guest guest
Om Sai Ram ! Dear Rahulan, A delightful question ! It plagued me for so many years - until by revelation, sitting in a bus some years back driving throught the night from Madras to Puttaparthi Baba Himself sang Gayatri to me, while I was in a half sleeping, medative state. Although I have a reasonable knowledge of Sanskrit, I had always had difficulty inlearning Gayatri 'by heart' - as we say in English. In the bus that night Baba sang Gayatri to me. Non stop - for several hours. Until, by the early morning, I knew Gayatri. It had become a part of me. The word that is causing your difficulty is one that also caused me difficulty. When I came to full consciousness, singing with Baba, I realised that I had solved the problem. I wont say more. You can finish the story for yourself. Find a recording of Baba singing Gayatri - and hear what He sings...... The rest is up to you. You may even feel like writing back to me to let me share in your experience. That would give me much joy. I have no idea what you will hear when you hear Baba's voice. He will sing to you as He sang to me. What YOU hear you could tell me, if you wish. But it doesnt matter. What matters is that you should hear His voice. His beautiful, glorious voice. Hari Aum ! Guest guest
Sairam dear devotees 15 years ago I heard for the first time Swami singing the Gayatri mantra and when I listen very good I could hear Swami singing "Suvaha". In our studygroup we sung swaha, but why didn't we sing like Swami "suvaha". This question could not be answered for me for a long time, but with my heart I sing "suvaha". So what did I do. I ask Swami is it swaha or suvaha please sing You in my heart because You are there. I will listen. And that is the same that I can ask you to do. But I have a question why shall Swami sing for us on the tape or CD "suvaha" to let us sing swaha? Aad de Waard The Netherlands
Guest guest
there are many books written on sai gayathri. there is one i read some years back by a person whose name is I think K.V.S Rao called 'Swami Dreams and visions.' I think its a good one because it gives the prounounciation and meaning of gayathri manthra as dictated by swami in divine visions to the author and also descriptions of good and bad magnetic energy. it has a yellow cover with a image of a gigantic naga with swami sitting on it. hope you can find that book. sai ram
