Guest guest
Lovingly shared by Ganesh Deepak Seva in the Navi Mumbai villages affected by rains Sairam, By the abundant grace and blessings of our beloved Bhagawan Baba, the seva in the areas affected by Rains in Navi Mumbai which started on last Sunday (31st July 2005) is going on well and touching the hearts of many needy people. Every alternate day there is a medical camp in the affected areas. The seva dals involved in the seva continuously felt Swami's presence and unseen hand guiding, motivating and protecting them in the Seva. Yesterday (7th Aug), the seva was done in the affected villages of Navi Mumbai. CBD-Kharghar Samithi distributed around 100 packets of Amrut Kalash (Annadhaan) at the Dhamola village. The small bridge to the village has got destroyed and the approach to the village is totally cut off. Sisters Geetha and Sandhya managed to cross to the village and distributed the coupons to every village house after identifying their needs. The materials were offloaded near the bridge. The villagers came near the bridge and collected the Amrut Kalash with the chant of SAI RAM and their face was lit by the light of love of our swami. During the same time one of the villager was suffering with a serious eye infection and Brother Vinay Mehrotra immediately took him to Panvel clinic to get treated. Nerul Samithi distributed around another 110 packets of Amrut Kalash in the Belpada village, also distributed some in Palshpe / Ganeshwadi village near Panvel. This villages have requested for medical help. Brother Chennuri & Brother Nagarajan are working towards having a medical camp in this villages on 14th Aug. Panvel Samithi distributed around 600 packets of Amrut Kalash in the Doodhani village. Here too, the village is totally cut off from the Panvel township. Panvel samithi did the medical camp at Gadheshwar. Apart from Amrut Kalash distribution they spent lot of time in the village having Bhajans, Balvikas and giving confidence and moral support to the villagers. Vashi Samithi distributed around 600 packets of Amrut Kalash in 5 adivasi villages which is 10kms further away from the Shiravalli village. There was a medical camp at the 'Sri Sathya Sai Dhanvantri Medical Centre' where around 100 patients were given medical treatment after which the entire team went to the interior Adivasi village. Medical camps were conducted at Yermal village and Bannechi Vadi village. Here around 160 patients were treated. The patients were very sick without food. There were children with high fever, extreme malnutrition and diarrohoea. There was a 25 year old paralysed woman beaten by her husband into the situation and pregnant in condition.Only Swami can save these people. Because of poverty and uncertain conditions due to destruction by rain, this people seem to have lost all hopes. Amrut Kalash was distributed in 5 adivasi villages, viz. Yermal, BannechiVadi, Adivasiwada, Mohodhar and Karambeli. Blankets was distributed in the Adivasiwada. In the narrow jungle road from Morba, the vehicle could reach only certain points, after which the seva dals had to walk to the village. For the Karambeli village, a major disaster was averted by Swami's grace. This village was just beneath the mountain where a landslide happened on the tragic Tuesday 26th night. The entrie land and fields has been destroyed, except miraculously the village survived. People live in this village with fear of re-occurence. This village is cut off due to the road having got washed away. From the place where the vehicle could reach, the Seva dals walked 6 Kms to reach the village and distributed the Amrut Kalash to every house in this village. At every step, Swami's unseen hand was pushing us to the village, making us walk the difficult mountain path. At one stage the vehicle broke down, inspite of all efforts it would not start, after 15-20 minutes try hopes were getting dashed, at that time sister Geeta Shetty took out the Vibhuti packet and every one chanting Swami's name poured it into the engine area and with Swami's grace the vehicle started again. In the 6-7 km walk to reach Karambeli village, Swami ensured smooth passage to the village protecting us. There was No rain when we walked and when we all got into a school the rain poured. Soon the rain stopped and again gave us the passage to walk back after distribution. Even at 7 pm in the rainy weather the sunlight was there to lead us back to Morbha. We continuously chanted Bhajans and Sai Gayatri as we walked in the jungle. Once all of them got into the vehicle the rains again poured heavily. Swami ensured NOT one seva dal got drenched or trapped and everyone safely reached SAI PREM around 10 pm in the night. In Karambeli and few adivasi villages from the tragic night, many have not eaten properly. Many have taken to alcohol prepared from dirty remains and eat crabs and other animals for survival. In almost all the villages, the fields have got destroyed, the road connectivity is damaged and washed away. The villagers need to be rehabilitated. Agriculture has been there main occupation and in most of the villages they used to feed themselves with the crops they grew. No other organisations have reached this affected adivasi villages and it is only SSSSO that has reached to this difficult places. Swami's prasadam given to the villagers has given them HOPE to live once again. Along with the Amrut Kalash packets, Sri Sathya Sai Poshak Ahar was distributed to all the village childrens who enjoyed it. Overall, it was pure compassion of Swami for HE gave the opportunity to be HIS instrument and thus showering HIS blessings to all.
