MANGAIYARKKARACHIYAR & KULACHCHIRAI NAYANAR font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">Mangaiyarkkarachiyar was born in the royal family of the Chola kingdom. She grew up with genuine love and devotion for the Lord of Parvati. Superior in actions container of good characters she got married to the Pandiya king, Nedumaran .. color:blue"> The king Nedumaran was valiant, powerful but did not get right guidance to enjoy the supreme path of Shaivam. He restrained himself to the philosophies of Jainism. The Jain philosophies which are good in general but which were out of a limited domain of knowledge and thus becoming hard for the followers to follow. The abodes of the Lord in that famous kingdom became the places of Jains and they went against their own principle of non-violence by violating it. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">Kulachchiraiyar was born to raise the name and fame of the village Manamerkudi in the Pandiya Kingdom, which raised the crops in its fields to treat the worst of all illness - the hunger. His intelligence and immunity to dishonesty, false praise and unholy activities impressed the Pandya king Nedumaran and the king made him as the prime minister in his court. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue;font-weight:bold">Mangaiyarkkarachiyar who had an unshrinking love for the Lord who is form of love, was quite shocked with the state of Pandiya kingdom. That lady of amasing endurance was waiting for a dawn for the whole kingdom and for he husband. Kulachchiraiyar being the prime minister who should guide the king in the right path, was worried about the King and the Kingdom too. They were praying to the Andhakanthaka (killer of ignorance) for the salvation of all the people in the kingdom. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue"> color:navy;font-weight:bold">Their prayer and patience gave fruit when they received the message that the saint who cried to get the Lord of Chirkazi reached in font-style:normal">Thirumaraikkadu. For those two seekers of Truth it was the news of all their good deeds giving fruit all of a sudden. They sent knowledgeable attendants to salute the prodigy and request his blessings. The young saint who had lots of mercy for all accepted their request to come to Pandaiya kingdom. With good omens appearing she felt now it is going to be only good for the king, her beloved husband. With overwhelming eagerness to salute the young saint who came to protect the king and the kingdom from falling, she told the king that she was going to salute the Lord of Madhurai and went to receive him. Along with the queen and the minister the saint went and worshiped the Lord of Madhurai. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:navy;font-weight:bold">Both Mangaiyarkkarachiyar and Kulachchiraiyar were so anxious about safety of the sage and the troubles Jains would invoke the king to do. As they feared, the Jains created fire on the place where Thirunyanachampandhar and other devotees who came along with him were staying with an intention of hurting them all. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue"> color:navy;font-weight:bold">But by the grace of Merciful, Sambandar transferred it to become a fire in the stomach of the king. Hence, instead of the housing being on fire, the King got a disease in his stomach. The queen and the prime minister were very much worried on hearing that the Jains set fire to Sambandar’s place, and it added to their worry when they heard the king got a serious pain in the stomach. The entire Jain sages tried out their mantras to cure the King but all their effort didn’t alleviate the King’s pain not even by a small amount. The King was so disappointed at the failure of the Jain sages. color:blue"> bold">With the prayers from the Queen the young saint smeared the Holy ash chanting the Holy five letters – Na Ma Shi Va Ya. The king was immediately cured of the illness to his surprise. font-family:"Comic Sans MS";color:blue"> The queen Mangaiyarkkarachiyar, the great lady who led her life as a typical wife - correcting the mistakes of the husband and making him lead the proper life was very happy at this. When that abode of knowledge won the arguments with the Jains and taught the excellence of Shaivam to the king and the people, Kulachchiraiyar who always thought about the betterment of the King and the people felt highly blessed by the Lord for enlightening King and the entire kingdom. font-weight:bold"> color:black"> 10.0pt;font-family:Arial">Sai Ram 10.0pt;font-family:Arial"> 10.0pt;font-family:Arial">Shivathmika 10.0pt;font-family:Arial"> 10.0pt;font-family:Arial"> Attachment: (image/jpeg) image001.jpg [not stored]
