with Govt of Karnataka & Kerala.

The CEO & Managing Director of nmc

and the Patron of Karnataka Sangha Mr.Shetty has also also arranged

the unique visit to Putparthi and the Shaikh and delegation had a special Dharshan

of Bagawan Sai Baba.

BANGALORE:Dr.B.R.Shetty,

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the NMC Group of Companies,

UAE who hails from Karnataka, who is member of the official delegation

introduced Sheikh Nahayan

Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, member of the royal family of Abu Dhabi and

Minister for Education, Youth and Sports, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Friday

expressed interest in making investments in the State as he sees great

potential here. The Minister made this statement after a series of presentations

made by the State Government on the investment opportunities in the information

technology and tourism sectors.

Commending the State for taking a lead in the knowledge-based sector, the

Minister said the dividends of investing in education would be substantial.

"No nation can advance with just natural resources. Investing in human

resources is essential for any growth." He is heading a 12-member

delegation.

Karnataka Finance Minister P.G.R. Sindhia said the

State is conducive for investments and the Government will support such endeavours.

Information Technology Secretary M.K. Shankaralinge

Gowda said IT exports from the State are substantial, though not to the Asian

countries (about three per cent) and there is scope to increase exports.

Earlier, the top-ranking officials of the state made presentation to the

delegation in Vidhana Soudha

on investment opportunities in the fields of IT, BT, Tourism, Industries and

Education.

activities in other countries, he observed. He also hailed the people from the

state residing in the UAE for their contribution to the development of that

country. “They are hardworking, successful and good people,” he

remarked
