Guest guest
Affected persons should register at BOTH Red Cross (redcross.org-family registry) and here. This org is not as well known. http://nokr.org/nok/restricted/home.htm If you have a room (or rooms) for victims you can register at hurricanehousing.org. I'll be adding more resources as I find them.

Welcome Wagon is for newcomers to an area. They bring a welcome packet and small gifts to help you assimilate. They are also listed in each town's phone book so if you are helping someone who does not have a phone perhaps you can help sign them up. welcomewagon.com: http://welcomewagon.com/default.aspx?poe=welcomewagon openyourhome.com: http://openyourhome.com/ Because the need is so great, many Americans are coming forward to offer transportation and other services. Some handicapped and elderly may already have an income through Social Security but may need help with getting an apartment, etc.
