Guest guest
Om Sai Raam, To all my sai brothers and sisters, I hope you are all doing well in Sai’s name and glory. I needed to ask if anyone on here, would assist me or guide me in finding the material needed. I have just started to learn to play the harmonium but I do need a lot of practice and assistance. However, I was wondering if there is some sort of booklet available for the notes for sai yes"> bhajans or any bhajans available or maybe if you have a copy of bhajan notes that you made up and would not mind passing this along. That would really be good! I am very enthusiastic about learning. Or if anyone of you on here do have notes for bhajans played on the harmonium that can possibly email me or guide me as to where I can find them –that would be awesome. I thank you all and may Swami bless and guide each one of you. Om Jai Sai Raam I offer my most humble pranaams at thy lotus feet of the beloved Lord Sai. Guest guest
*** Moderator's Reply Dear Radhey and all, material about Sai Bhajans (sheets music and notes) is available trough the following links: a) 'Sanskrit bhajans and devotional songs in English and other languages transcribed to Western-style sheet music, with tunes, chords, text': http://sathyasai.org/songs/sheetmusic/Default.htm b) 'The Complete English Devotional Song Book contains over 500 pages of sheet music': http://sathyasai.org/songs/sheetmusic/english.htm c) 'The Chant Song Book contains 46 pages of sheet music': http://sathyasai.org/songs/sheetmusic/chants.htm d) Bhajanavali 'Chords in Indian music are not used in the same way as they are used in Western music. Therefore this chord book must not be considered as an authority in this field, but only as a helpful transposition from an Indian setting to a Western one. It is a very useful guide to learn how to accompany Bhajans for Westerners unfamiliar with the Indian style of playing the harmonium. It can also be useful to Indians who wish to understand the Western use of chords in Bhajans.'
