Prayer List for Sunday October 02 2005/SPG- Gayatri Mantra

By grace of Swami we have completed Sunday prayer Service

and our next prayer service would be Thursday- Oct 6th.

 

Please all in our SPG group please confirm that "Yes we are praying"-

 

this is only to bring solace and strength to those who requested for prayers.

 

I want to remind one more point that this collective consciouness and this

unfied prayers is so so powrful and it is so beneficial which is inexplainable

and that is exactly Swami is trying to develop in us . God consciounness can

bring tremendous change to mother earth and it's inhabitants.

 

I was wondering can we think of chanting Holy Gayaatri Mantra once a month

(collectivley )which can be done on Poornima day- what do you all suggest? we

can chant full 108 times collectivley all over the world- so what do you all

think? Gayatri mantra is very powrful we can discuss more as this holy mantra

is more needed at this hour.

Gayatri mantra¿ great, the idea is great, count on me, just let me know how it

is done,I did download the instructions on the Sunday prayers, but at what

stage the list is included?. How is the time calculated on a worldwide basis. I

am in Venezuela. It only takes so little time to do the list. Thank you for the

We are all praying for all mentioned in the prayer list. This is done every Thursday and Sundays.

 

Yes. I totally agree with Soumendra. Let us all chant the Gayatri Mantra 108

times collectively all across the globe.

Yes, I am praying on all Thirsdays /

Sundays and Purnima / Pournami days, Have missed out the prayers only once so

far that is on 19 Aug 05, reasons for which I have communicated. I will

continue to take part in prayers as a member of SPG.

I am OK about doing Gayatri mantra 108 times on Purnima days, do we start

on the Purnima this month?

Tomorrow is Mahalaya Amavasya, so I pray for my ancestors and also those of

all others, it is a very important day in West Bengal, and day after Puja / Devi

Navaratrulu / Sarat Navaratri commences. May Maa Durga bless all of us and our

families.

Yes, we are praying.

I agree with the recital of the Gayatri Mantra 108 times on one particular

day; however, I confess that I won't know when is Poornima Day.

Will you please consider to explain to those who do not know how to recite a

mantra 108 times with a jappa mala(a rosary) how to do so? I consider that

the jappa mala helps to concentrate on the number of times that one is

reciting the mantra.

Sai Ram Soumendra Bhayya,

Gaytri is the Mantra Rajam of all mantras. Most powerful effect is

during the Brahma Muhurtam time 4 AM till 5 AM. The metering has to

be like what Swami had recited. If anyone has that tape or CD please

put it on the internet among our groups, so that proper metering is

done.

The Sanskrit scholars with vedic knowledge meter the "AUM", 50% of

the total time of the rest of the gayatri mantram.

Improper metering of the Gayatri mantram will not have effects ( so

I was told).

Daily gayatri chanting at least 21 times for the Pancha Tanmaatraas

is also very effective, during this hour.

Yes, We are praying. We suggest the prayer list may be sent few

hours earlier. Yesterday (Sunday, Oct 02,2005) and once earlier we

got it after the prayer time of 7.00 AM (India time).

and Sundays and I think it is a great idea to Say the Gayaatri

Gayatri Mantra: The benefits if the Gayatri Mantra is immense. This mantra was

Chanting of Gayatri Mantra collectively is great idea.

 

Really we can't imagine the power when we all collectively chant this mantra at

the same time from all over the world belongs to different places. As already

suggested by Sister Meena ji, it should be better if we chant in

Brahmamuhurtham. Please think about deciding the time.

 

 

What i would also suggest is , it should be more effective if we chant in Brahmamuhurtham time.

agreed. regarding counting 108 times there are manual counters are

available.(say for ex you will have to say one time and you can click the

lever so that the counter will count one time) or else my kind suggestion is,

if you can come across any south indian's who is wearing sacred thread(in hindi

it is called junav) they know how to count 108 times through fingers. probably

you can get the guidance or else you can simply use japamala. in my opinion

the chanting of gayathri manthra for 108 times will never take more than 10 to

15 minutes max 30 min.
