For the record , I have donated my whole body for medical purposes as early as 1976, when I was young, at my creative best and in good physical health.. This was reported in the front page of that venerable paper Streats on January 24, 2003. I always carry my body donation card on my person wherever I travel, even now as I am overseas on a project in Canberra.. As a Buddhist, I remember Lord Buddha exhorting: " This body of flesh and blood I bear All for the world's good and welfare..." As my Guru, Bhagwan Satya Sai Baba teaches , our reason for donating blood should always be as a gift of liquid love, expecting no returns whatsoever.
