Guest guest
SAI RAM !!! 'Indian Airlines' flies from Bangalore to Puttparthi 3 time a week/ once daily on each of those days. The link to Indian Airlines is pasted below. http://indian-airlines.nic.in/scripts/index.asp If you or somebody with you is not required to fly and can travel by Taxi, I would recommend traveling by Taxi. Taking a taxi from Bangalore airport to Puttparthi usually takes about 3 to 4 hours by road and usually costs between 1300 to 2500 indian rupees depending on the size of the taxi and if you choose a taxi with or without air-conditioning. The advantage with taxi is that you do not have to adjust your arrival to Bangalore according to the day on which Indian Airlines has flight to Puttparthi. You again do not have to wait at the airport for the connecting flight. Taxis are available all the time all day. If more than one person is traveling, taxi is definitely less expensive. Also, when you fly into Puttparthi Airport, you would still need a taxi to go to the Ashram. If you need information about getting a taxi, please e-mail me and I can help. We usually book our Taxi from home in USA before reaching Bangalore. I hope this helps. SAI RAM .... Sudhir Patel needOm
Guest guest
Sai Ram, This is really good advice from Bro. Sudhir. Another problem with flying is that flights may not always be able to land in Puttaparthi if weather is cloudy. I recently experienced this on an Air Deccan flight from Chennai to Parthi. Due to clouds, the flight was diverted to Hyderabad. Sai Ram, Vikas
