Guest guest
12.0pt"> 100 or "sadham" in Sanskrit is considered as a complete round. If namas are said a 100 times, it is equivalent to saying it 1000 times. However, saying namas must also end in a Brahma number. 9 is the Brahma number. The closest 100 comes to becoming a Brahma number is 108, i.e. 1 + 0 + 8 = 9. Hence, namas are recited 108 times. Similarly, saying namas 1000 times is equal to saying it 1 crore times. Those who wish to recite 1000 namas must end it at 1008 to make it a Brahma number.
Guest guest
Cosmic Energy. 2. Then you have '0' which by its very form, represents a spheroid of creation and so it represents a creature. The zero, like the spheroid of creation and the creatures increase the value of the number when rightly used. If wrongly used they make the figure a futile waste of energy. 3. Lastly the number 8. This iscalled the KHYATTI SANGHKYA - the number of matter. Matter is called KHYATTI because it is suceptible of khyaa - or decrease or erosion. Matter is called khyatti because matter has descended from energy and is the creature of energy and because matter erodes and gets eroded, decreases and gets decreased. The following table will help you understand the khyatti property of 8. 8 x 1 = 8 8 x 2 = 16 = 7 8 x 3 = 24 = 6 8 x 4 = 32 = 5 8 x 5 = 40 = 4 8 x 6 = 48 = 4+8 = 12 = 3 8 x 7 = 56 = 5 +6 = 11 = 2 8 x 8 = 64 = 6+4 = 10 = 1 But, when multiplied by 9 = the brahma sankhya - or the number for God the matter - no. 8 increases. 8 x 9 = 72 = 7+2 = 9 This magic of the Divine No. should be witnessed - please take a paper and write the table of 9 - 9 x1, 9x2, 9x3 and so on till 9 x9. What ever result you get when reduced to single digit - will be 9. For eg - 9x5 = 54 = 5+4 = 9. When matter merges into the Divine it looses its self and becomes Divine. In 108 has a zero in the center, it has '1' and '8' on either side. So too every creature always has to relate with energy and matter. When man relates to matter and energy in constant rememberance of Divinity, when everyone and everything will remind him of Divinity - then the entire life will become a Japa. Japa - as per Beejsksharas - Ja and Pa - Ja means the formation - the birth and Pa means that which fosters. So that which fosters the formation and birth of worthiness, goodness and godliness is Japa. Source: Sree Sai Sudha (Revelations By Sri Sathya Sai) Vol 1.
